I actually didn’t mind it! Although I was listening on the radio and initially I was like damn, it sounds like at least half the fans in Oil town must be Flames fans. Represent! And then my brain reminded me of current reality and I was like, oh yeah, fake fan background noise. It does get glaringly noticeable when the refs make a poope call and there is absolutely no booing tho.

Edit: Speaking of which, it’s going to be weird when Buttman does his presentation of the cup and there is nothing but cheering going on in the background...

I think the Flames need to play a more conservative smart brand of hockey. Jets know they are though of as big and will wait for baiting opportunities and it’s the first round so they are banking on their goalie. Be patient and stick to high opportunity shots, and bang everything down low at the net.

I don't know how you can complain about Lucic after that. He won the puck behind the net which led directly to Backlund's goal. He was physical all night. He was far more noticeable tonight for positive reasons than negative.

Cut back one of the penalties and the Lucic tonight is the exact player the Flames want him to be.
