I believe Smith is on notice not formally but he can see the writing on the wall. His work hard system and the work hard game plan and the hardest working team and we lost because we didn't work hard is not enough for the young players and prospects. We saw a lot of them underachieve last year and I don't think that's part of PD's plan.

Mike Hoffman had 29 goals this year. Quenneville should be fired because he couldn't get him to that 30 goal tier.

To this day I still can't figure out if granpa is a troll, a patient at a psychiatric facility with Internet access, or just the most negative person on the planet.

i find comments by Grandpa insightful, consistent and pragmatic. Easy to grasp unto the new shiny object of development. It is good to stop and take a pragmatic view of the development/growth curve for individual players and the team as a whole. not every player is going to be a star

so, based on last night, Oilers and Pens take the early lead in the concluding act of the Lafreniere sweeps.

Surprising.......I figured you’d blame Smith’s system for his comment.

I can’t, Smith’s system says I have to keep them on......that’s why they don’t work.

What do you think about picking
Byfield to play middle
Holtz who can play both LW n RW
Then somehow use Islanders pick and prospect or trade somehow to grab
Kaiden Guhle who suppose to be a strong defensive Defenceman who plays with force

We’re not getting drysdale or Sanderson
Guhle in my opinion would pick in late teen
And I don’t want Rossi when we have Byfield🤦‍♂️
And personally think Holtz is a better playmaker then Raymond

Love it! But I don't like Guhle. How about O'Rourke instead?

Tkachuk Byfield Holtz 😍

You're literally the only person in the counrty who DOESN'T think Smith has done a great job. What are the odds 40+ million people are wrong, and YOU are right?

Time for YOU to take off the poop coloured glasses.

He coaches grunt hockey
The grunts do well in his program
The grunts love him
40mil. people love grunts because they're underdogs
Where does the skilled creative player fit in?

That's the way I see it in my "poop coloured glasses".

Guhle is a very good skater and very aggressive finish checks hard
Plus he’s very smart defensive and has upside offence it’s a win win 🤙
Play him with Brannstrom and let Brannstrom run see what he can do

If Columbus wins the draft lottery and gets the top pick overall,

does this mean that their 2nd rounder (which belongs to us) will be 32nd overall??

Slick presentation on tv . Jim Hughson has to be the best nhl commentator. Wonder if they will allow some people in for the final.

I'm pretty sure the lottery only effects the first round.
