I classify all fitters as pipefitters😁
- Reubenkincade

Any fitter can take a pipefitter call. It’s not red seal. It’s a generic term for are you at least useful lol

Lol.
As opposed to what I term a CLACfitter, totally useless.

Game day

I wonder how the young kids are going to respond to the increased intensity. The games I watched last night it ramped up pretty quickly and heavily. Edmonton seemed to get steamrolled from it...

I think the kids will be fine. It’s the vets who gotta bring it. They do that & we beat Minny.

Looking forward to it tonight – although the 10:30 Eastern start is going to make for a lousy Monday morning.

Petry with the OT winner....hopefully the Crosby era is over, tired of him and Malkin beating up on the Flyers.

A buddy just got a name request from Nick. He’s a plumber on a steamfitter call. Only way he can get on there. I could’ve made the same call but need another week or 2 til weed is outta my system to pass the test.

I can't stand the guy, as most know by now, but I still think it wasn't dirty. Scheifele just got caught up in a bad spot and the skate got him where there isn't much protection.

considering going to Kitimat for the LNG...

Largest project in Canada.
14 in 7 days out.
10hr shift with 2-1/2hr breaks.
Living in a camp of 4500 ppl.
Urine test to get on site. That’s ok.
No weed even though it’s legal.
No parking so only flown in & out.
Approximate 145k/yr 90k take home.
Could be 2-3yrs work or more.
No complaint here other than 2 weeks of no life away from home then 1 week to catch up on laundry & chores & a little us time.

This might be my retirement fling. Still unsure if I want to do it or just status quo & work around the province on shutdowns. Money isn’t everything & the trade off it means.

Now I come to Reuby with Kitimat his home town...

Sure the influx of work is a boon to Kitimat.
Sure it helps the economy for all of BC.
Even helps the entire country.

How do you feel about it Reuby with the invasion of so many workers? Pros & Cons.

Tough call, I’ve spent my entire working career on the road, money was always good and it set me up to be financially secure for the rest of our lives. But at a tremendous cost for my family.
At least my shifts were either 28-12hr days on and the same off, or 42-12hr days on and the same off, but I missed so much of my kids accomplishments for 6 months of the year.
Rueben is a solid guy, and a friend you will enjoy meeting him.

i wanna say it was dirty because i don't like the guy and this just seems like what he would do... but if i'm honest it looked like a weird accidental play. his skate "catches" off the ice and is propelled forward hitting scheiffle.

imo, it was an accident.

Yes. Sure the money is great but at a heavy price. It’s a must to make it do good or not bother with the sacrifice & look to another line of work. I stepped away from it for 9yrs til I met my wife & that made the money a priority for hers & our needs. She travels with me when not a camp job. That helps a ton.

I look forward to seeing Reuby & hope he thinks similar of me. This blog is fun but a face to face is real.

I digress Go Canucks Go 😜

I don't like Clamato. I think it's 1/3 MSG.

Suuuuper late to the conversation, but check out "Walter Ceasar mix". It's ocean wise and has no artificial ingredients. Tasty and made in Canada!

I find it to be in that grey area that Tkachuk lives in. It was way too fast to be premeditated, but at the same time when have you ever see a guy go blade up into a check? Even if his skate catches. Usually at that point it’s the toe of the boot.

As always I think he was looking to finish his check extra hard/catch him however he could, and just sort of turned his skate to land something on him. Much like when someone is going to miss a hit so they hang a knee.

Why go into the boards with your skate up?
I can't say if he had intent but that look pretty 'careless'.

I admit I hate that bag of sh*t so my opinion is somewhat bias.

Holy poop, did the Jets Flames play the late game yesterday and now play the early game today?

I agree and saw it much the same way. He wanted to finish his check which made him try to turn his skate which led to the other events.

The knee comparison is a good one.
