Matthew Tkachuk is an excellent hockey player. But he's also a dirt bag, scum wad, mouth breathing rat of the highest order cut from the same dirt bag, scum wad, rat, mouth breathing cloth as Marchand and Tom Wilson. - gergeswillems
He's cut from the same cloth as his father.
But I don't think it was intentional. |

We really could use a heart n soul grit grinder on the team, like a Tucker or Clark. In hindsight, wish we still had Kadri and traded Kap and or Johnsson instead, especially with Mikheyev and Robertson coming. But hindsight.... - systemtool
Yeah. I get where you're coming from. To this day I'm not sure that Kadri offers as much physically as we remember him providing, but he certainly offers more than a lot of our guys. I think Kadri was the key, though, because he was a legitimate 2C. |

Really if the Leafs win either game 6 or 7 last year against Boston none of this narrative exists. For me it makes zero difference. They never lost because of hitting or grit.
And they were horribly outcoached, which is why I could care less about Torts having more experience. - RogerRoeper
Coaches dont play the games.
They didnt lose because of coaching. |

That he was trying to slice his leg open? End the career of his friend? There's a big leap from saying someone extended his leg to make contact to saying he tried to slice open his leg which is what Maurice is saying. I don't buy the second option and don't think there is any history of that level of scumbuggery. To me, that is worth lifetime expulsion - Canada Cup
Just be glad it's not a Leaf cause then it would be a lifetime expulsion. |

Question for the parents here:
Have you made a decision on your kids' upcoming hockey season?
I'm starting to lean towards taking the season off and skiing instead.
I can't see the season starting before New Years, and there will be a constant threat of shutdown.
Our league still hasn't announced plans yet (which is understandable). |

I don't think Kadri is tough or anything, but he played hard, threw hits, and got under the skin of opponents. Helps alot in the playoffs....if hes not suspended for half of it lol. |

Tkachuk incident reminded me of Bolland (and others)
Yes, dirty play
Scheifele turns away to avoid hit, Tkachuk lifts his skate off the ice and kicks his ankle |

Are they skiers/boarders already? If not, definitely add this to the things they do. It will last forever. You can also easily do a ski vacation fairly safely if you rent. |

Hoping to start on time, already missed the entire baseball season (and now he found Fortnite š”)
Although, Vancouver Island may be in a better position than Toronto for potential reopening
I am sure it will look a lot different regardless |

Scheifele turns away to avoid hit, Tkachuk lifts his skate off the ice and kicks his ankle - mr.sir Regardless of what you think of Tkachuk, I find it hard to believe any player would do that intentionally. They do a lot of (frank)ed up stuff, but a skate blade to what looked like the Achilles? I like to think there is a line and that would be so far and above beyond that line. |

Our league @ Ducks ice is going as scheduled ... my 5 & 8 and 13 yr olds playing in different age groups... all full already.
But the OC is a def outlier in Cali ... Esp. down in the coastal towns where the big money is.

I don't think he was trying to end his career. But I do believe he intended to do "something." Tkachuk has a long history of doing alot of "something's." He walks that line which buys him time and space on the ice. |

Some of my best memories as a kid were when we did one with extended family every other year or so. It was great because all the aunts and uncles got together and so did the kids. I might have to try to organize something like this, this year. |

I disagree on the more recent suspensionā°pp. The refs missed, ignored many questionable hits on Kadri. 0He refrained several times that game and eventually got fed up because the refs were calling the plays on reputation and not by what was actually happening. |

The key is to rent a chalet instead of getting hotel rooms.
Pushes you all together. |
