Thanks Carol.
Even though they're going to be playing back to back games and Marky had a long layoff prior to the re-start, I say that he plays both nights.
Anyone disagree? Anyone think that Thursday's game will determine who plays on Friday? If Marky plays badly, do you play Demko in a season deciding game? |

Thanks Carol, I thought Lui had a good game, other than the bad luck of a broken stick and the terrible pass to nobody on the 3 on 1. He may (is) be overpaid for what he produces, but he is one of the 12 best forwards in this group.
Also liked Boeser’s game, watched the replay of his goal a couple times and it is sneaky good, I definitely think Petey meant to tip that puck there.
Cheers! |

I think it’s Markstrom series to win (or lose) I don’t think Demko gets 1min of action unless there is an injury. |

I agree.
If they win Game 3, he'll want to stay in to close out the series.
If they lose Game 3, he'll want to play in the elimination game.
All roads lead to Marky.

RC I don't disagree that Marky plays both games if he plays well in game 3. If he doesn't and they lose all bets are off.
Also, won't there be almost a day and a half between games? |

Also Carol, great response to ASL's pleas.
I'm currently using it as a teaching tool at home. |

Nothing is certain but the only way I could see Demko playing is if Marky gets pulled (relatively early) and he (Demko) plays lights out the rest of the way.
Even if Marky gets pulled, I could see them going back to him the next game (unless Demko gives them reason not to.) |

I think he's going to play well so the point is moot.
However, with all of the invariables regarding both goaltender's future with the club i'm a subscriber to the theory of seeing what you have if Markstrom falters. |

I can understand that but the team and especially the coach will want the roster that gives them the best chance to win. At this point, it's Marky.
Though it would be nice to see how Demko would do. We learned in the Sedin years that you don't know what you have in net until the real pressure is on. |

Another scenario where I can see a Demko start is a long overtime game. Highly unlikely however. |

True enough.
Start times for Friday are now confirmed. Canucks will play at 8:45 p.m. local time again, 7:45 PT.

The oldest one does, she had season tickets.
The youngest one has hardly been exposed to hockey because there are few games before 8 at night. I don't even care that she's a Flames fan, she sat and watched 2 1/2 hours of hockey before she got sick of it. Watched again yesterday. She thinks it's exciting. |

Probably take her to a junior game or two once that's back on the table. No idea when that will be but hopefully it's there in a limited capacity this winter. |

Gives you time to build up the excitement with her, 2 years from now she's going to want to play |

She already does. I'm not ready for her to play yet, she's too reckless and broke her elbow pretty bad in September. I wanted to get her skating last year but that was put on hold. I'd like for her to skate for a year before she plays. |
