I HOPE SO!!!!
When ya really look at it, our top line hasn’t done much at all 5 on 5, two goals In 3 games if I’m not mistaken...obviously I’m loving our special teams especially when it’s so huge this time of the year but we really need our Top line to start getting results 5on5 because we’ll be going agains teams that are more disciplined and play mostly a 5 on 5 game....
Nonetheless I do believe we can really make a run like 2004 if everyone truly plays their role while giving a 💯effort with every shift!!!
I mentioned several times before the series started that Talbot is gonna get the start and that I had a huge gut feeling that he’ll out duel Hellebuyck...So far so good😉
Hopefully he’s just getting started and is about to go on a huge run🤞🏻
Let’s do this!!!😎

Slow down there now - don't you go jinxing us by getting cocky like other fan bases do. We have so far won a total of 2 games in a "play in" round, not even a "play off" round, and it has been against an opponent decimated by injuries. None of that points to "a run like 2004". One game at a time - let's get the win tonight - then worry about Dallas or St Louis or whoever we go up against next!

You forgot to mention that the Flames have done their part to decimate the Jets by the way they’re playing. Although I agree Curb Your Enthusiasm

???

Winnipeg was one of the most disciplined teams in the league this year. St Louis is the only team of the top four that took fewer penalties. Having Tkachuk and Gaudreau on the team means the Flames will be getting a ton of PP chances, especially with how they've been calling games so far.

If everything goes to plan the Flames could draw the Stars who have lost 9 in a row since Feb. 25

Although I kind of want a challenge to see what this core can bring... Enough beating around the bush - I think it's time to see what this team is made of?

Yeah I know it might seem like a stupid question but in the round of 16 does it work like the old NHL playoff format the 1 seed plays against the lowest seed that makes it into the 16 and so forth??

Lindholm appears to be centering a line tonight.

Edit : nevermind, he just took the opening faceoff with Lucic and Dube.

That’s my understanding. So if we win and all the other top seeds lose we would face no. 4 of the round robin which is most likely Dallas at this point. If not it will likely be one of St. Louis or Vegas in the 2/3 slot

They're playing well but I've noticed that every time Johnny enters the zone with speed, he doesn't have any help with him. Loving the pace, though.

Ras skates like vintage Karlsson tonight. Great pinches and always back on D in time.

For every time he gets caught, he pinches well 10 times.

Johnny with a bad turnover and a great backcheck to make up for it. I love the kid and how far he's come defensively. I'll be sad if/when the Flames move on from him.

Gio looks like he might just be done so far in this series though. That's worrying. Brodie is saving his arse once every other shift.

Considering the guff Monahan and Gaudreau get for their postseason performances, we take it easy on Gio.

IMO JG is a great secondary piece. Much like Kessel. if he does not have to go up against the best players on the other team he is great.

Not the guy you go all in on. IMO.

I don't think he's necessarily a guy you build a franchise around but he's amazing.
