But he also says in same interview his minutes are not guaranteed in Washington...he has lost a step for sure but still was a minute munched on the PK and always got the hard matchups...even last year...seems like,e only offered 6th/7th role?

Maybe this is a good hockey decision, but how it unfolded rubs me the wrong way...

Going by what Z is saying it’s hard to blame anyone for his departure. I really didn’t want to see him in the top 4 another year and he needs to sit some if he’s going to stay legit. Wish to hell it was not the Caps, definitely top 3 or 4 places it hurts to see him end up with
