I don't really care if they move Freddie, I also don't think he has been that big of an issue.

I just think he would be more valuable to another team than he would be to the Leafs this year - So that's why I'm kind of hoping they move him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

He's not THE problem. He's A problem.

Having said that, even if he isn't that much of a problem, his value is super high: he's owed only 1M for the season and the Leafs can use that as bait for low budget teams.

Get some picks for Freddie and use them in a package to land a defender (like Parayko) or to bump the draft position from 15 into the top 10 -- then draft Askarov.

He'll either sit on the bench next season, or retire - OR he goes to a contender with the Rangers eating half his cap hit. Would've been awesome to see him hoist the Cup!

If Askarov was a sure thing, maybe can be as good as Freddy for example, he’d be ranked higher.

It Vasi, Bob, Varly, or Khudobin are praising him then I’d be more inclined to hop aboard the Askarov bandwagon.
