That was quick, not bad, I still don't like Hutton as are 1b, but will live with it for a year. And like the Nordstrom idea.

it depends on which version of Hutton we get.. you can't deny that he has looked serviceable at times. he just has those stretches of atrocious play that negates the decent stretches...

That's a relief.

Seriously though, are we just doomed?

Hm

Actually not as terrible as I thought a $72.5m roster would be.

Per sources, the Vegas Golden Knights and G Robin Lehner have a 5-year contract extension in place, agreed upon prior to the RTP.

"Dylan DeMelo played a lot of minutes (21:08 ATOI) for the Winnipeg Jets last season and we're not sure if an AAV of $2.4M on a three-year deal is enough to entice him to come to Buffalo"

I have read at least 10 teams blogs in here that Demelo is a player that the team wants because of his value vrs what he's expected to sign for.

this tells me, Demelo will have his choice where to go and he will be easily pushing close to 4 annually

We need a goalie (Lehner would have been nice) a 2nd line center (ROR would be nice) and some muscle, grit and skill in the top six who killed penalties too hmmm, who would be nice there?

If TP and Co are that serious on slashing costs and creating an internal cap, I wouldn't be shocked at all if they're secretly dangling Eichel already. For Buffalo fans sake I hope not but when it comes to shrewd business moves, I wouldn't be surprised at all!

The Pegula’s have failed their initial mission statement of not letting financial restrictions hold them back from delivering competitive professional hockey and making buffalo into “Hockey Heaven” I’m so many spectacular and Ironic ways. And this is just another chapter. In a decade these people went from self proclaimed saviors with seemingly endless financial resources to teetering on broke.

The good news is spending to the max to win worked out very poorly, so maybe with some restrictions they’ll learn something about quality spending.

However unless we see a sudden turn around in society and a cold winter to boost demand for natural gas, our owners could be in big financial trouble. Not to be pessimistic for the sake, but I’m starting to feel like pro sports has just passed the city of Buffalo by. No matter how rich the owners or how passionate the fans are.
