They went 10-6 last year, and despite a tough schedule, have a chance to be better this year. Who cares who Josh may be better than or not? He's (frank)ing good. Jesus Christ, let the fans enjoy it.

Sports is and always has been a meritocracy. He is now the 2nd best goaltender on his hockey team and has been paid handsomely during his time there. Any claim that he has been mistreated is nothing more than whining.

I enjoyed it just fine, enjoyed watching Allen do what he did, but also want to see him improve on his mistakes just makes the Team better.

I think it’s this way. He is considered the face of the franchise and was there right from the start. Fans love him and want to win with him in the net. Is Lehner better? Maybe right now he is but that’s not enough to change the minds of the fans that have been there from day one. Would there be any difference if MAF was in the net? That is very debatable and will be the cause of a very bad separation between the knights organization and MAF.
Didn’t make sense not to run with the flower from the start imo but now we will never know.

Lehner has 4 shutouts in the playoffs and is one period away from a 5th.

MAF sucking wind was what got Gallant fired and what led to the acquisition of Lehner in the first place.

Allen was more poised in the pocket. He was going through his progressions and used a variety of receivers which is an indication he was seeing the whole field. It was his first game too so this knit-picking is true BS. A 9 million Sabres winger scores 14 goals and he gets forgiven and every reason he sucked is rationalized away, a QB lights it up pretty good and he is Tim Tebow on here because they can both run.
