I think some would rather just see Dahlin fly around the ice like Makar,
than him actually work on being a good defensive player

- jdfitz77

I think the best teams let players, especially good players, do what they do best instead of trying to make them into something they're not.

Lavs is the new HC in Washington.

That's a good hire. Hopefully (for them), they'll get another Cup within one or two years, because after that, they'll tune him out.

People get so upset when outsiders trash Buffalo. And we trash other places without disregard. I lived in Florida for a time, and there are a lot of extremely bizarre people, but a lot of great people too.

We have a segment up here on the radio every Wednesday called "The Villages" and the hosts read over the weekly crime reports from that big retirement golf community, and a lot of that poop is pretty funny.

- TheSabresTaco

The Villages in Orlando area? LoL, That place is legendary state wide, I think.
The radio station down here has a segment once in a while, when something bizarre happens, called Flori-Duh.
Indeed, there are wackos and freaks living everywhere.

Nice airmail throw to the wide open TE there by Lock on the goal line. Wow - only thought Allen was allowed to do that?? Cost them an easy 7 points. Unfortunately then on 4th and 1/2 yd you don’t have the best short yardage runner in the NFL to run it in (for the uneducated, That’s Josh Allen) And try a gimmick shuffle pass.
- turbo044

I wonder if Lock is disappointed he didn't nail that throw...you know, losing on a field goal.
Those 7 points could have helped in a tightly contested game.
Hmmmm .

If Josh played like Lock did tonight I can only imagine the craziness on this board. That overthrow late in Q2 did end up costing him dearly. With 8 seconds left in q2 on their own 30, Denver threw 2 passes for 35 garbage yards (Tennessee was 30 yards off the LOS), otherwise he passes for less than 200. He honestly looked good throwing to Fant in Q1/early Q2 (Fant is a stud), but otherwise, I wasn't impressed
- turbo044

Completed 66% of his passes. Would have won had he actually hit a wide open receiver 12 yards away.

I mean the Titans left 10 points on the board also with missed kicks.

The better team won last night.

Drew Lock, and the rest of the offence for that matter as Jeudy dropped two catchable balls, missed two opportunities to put the Titans away and did not capitalize and deserved to lose the game.

I’m not sure what Drew Lock’s statistics have to do with my critique of Josh Allen though.

I don’t remember proclaiming Drew Lock to be anything after a 6 game sample size. To me he looks like a rookie QB with some good and some bad.

My post wasn't specific to your post, I used but as a jumping off point.

My point is, poster made a flippant comment about Lock missing on that throw, as if to say it was OK for Allen's miss as well...but the point in critiquing Allen's miss is that those critical misses can be the difference in close games against decent opponents...which is exactly what happened with Lock/Denver. It made my point beautifully.

Your critique of Allen is is pretty accurate. I just believe playing it safe and in control are not yet in Josh's head, and may not ever be completely there.

There’s really no point in debating Allen. He’s exactly who he will be for the most part. He’s going to miss some gimme plays. He’s going to make some amazing plays running and throwing on the run.

The real debate is how good you think his running + inconsistent passing game makes the Bills.

His red zone running is absolutely ELITE. And it’s a big reason the Bills score a lot there.

I think he’s around 15-18 for starting QB’s right now.

He's so dangerous from the 10 in that it's almost not fair. It's like playing with cheats enabled.

Same with 4th and 1. Good luck stopping the 6'5" 245 lb fullback who just has to fall forward

Exactly.

It's just insane how some (Mainly PFF) have just been so stuck on how he would be out of the league in 3 years that they can't even give credit when he's doing good things.

Analytically (Which is PFF and most of the anti-Allen twitter mafia) he was very good Sunday.

But the data-driven, fair and balanced PFF analysts all tweeted his one bad throw

In week 1, 91 % of the Bills offense ran through Josh Allen

In comparison 84% ran through Lamar Jackson, 79% through Kyler Murray. Russell Wilson was 91.6%

Allen Passing plus rushing = 369 Bills total = 404 369/404 = 91.3%
Jackson 320/377 = 84.8%
Murray 321/404 = 79.4%
Wilson 351/383 = 91.6%

Dolphins allowing only 13k fans into the stadium. Just from the transplanted Buffalonians already living down here, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more than half Bills fans there.

Well as Allen goes so will the Bill's. McBeane has built a Championship Caliber team. I like Allen alot, but we played the Jets. I want to see that kind of game, minus the fumbles against the Rams and KC and SF. Those are gonna be the true test. And before everyone has Sh!t fit, I want Allen to succeed, cause he is a blue collar hard worker that fits Buffalo perfectly.

Jets did well against the run, forced the Bills hand into going into a full passing attack.

Daboll called a pretty good game, he took advantage of an aggressive game plan from Gregg Williams as he was often bringing an extra guy on the blitz and the Bills countered by throwing screens and several passes into the flats which they essentially used as a substitution to the run game.

They had a quick passing game and allowed Allen to make high percentage throws within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage and he threw deep when he needed to.

Allen did his job, and despite the turnovers the game wasn’t really close.

All good, I'm just ready to get back to hockey. Football is fine, but I feel like I'm going through withdrawal. Normally I can play hockey when I can't watch it, being without both is...

really (frank)ing boring.
