He’s been flashy but average for Montreal. He’s a decent PK guy, but doesn’t move the needle at 5v5 - Rexypoo
He'd be the Jets best player in the bottom 6 and he can slide up into the top 6 and not sink the line he's on, he's a solid player, they've missed his size as well, he moves the needle just fine! |

That was a terrible pick. The Jets need size on defense and Ross drafted a 5'11 173 pound guy. - BWJumper
He won’t be 173 forever.... |

This actually isn’t true though. He would be comparable to Roslovic, but with less speed.
He’s also not a physical player. He uses his size to maintain possession, not to hit. Even then, our smaller forwards do a better job of this.
People seem to confuse size with some sort of magic. If a big player is harder to get off the puck than a small player, or has an easier time stealing a puck, or really has an easier time doing anything... this would be reflected in their results. |

You go after the most valuable player. It’s usually the best player available but not necessarily. Quality defenseman and Centerman are harder to come by making them more valuable. Any player the Jets get this year is not likely to play and extended stent in the NHL for about three years. Their answer at center ice won’t come from this draft. |

Hahahah
It’s all in good fun. I’d honestly probably like to move down a few spots and add an extra 2nd rounder and take Zary later in round one. But hard to pass on the top rated D. |

Why is everyone over rating Armia all of a sudden?
Yes he is a good bottom 6 guy. We have a ton of those.
And how does everyone forget Armia went MIA for long stretches and was widely inconsistent |

This 💯, Lowry had his one great season when Armia was on his wing. Always thought Armia should have gotten a shot with more talented players.
There is also a strong correlation between Ehlers and Laine's success with Armia being on the team. Kotkaniemi specifically requested that the Habs get Armia once he was drafted by them.
The man apparently is a legend in Finland. Armia will always have a special place in the Ultimate one's heart. |

True, he could potentially go on a weight loss program and be 160. |

Armia carried the corpse of Lowry around.
The Jets bottom 6 is useless, it needs an overhaul. |

He does hit though, not huge hits but he hits to get the puck, great player and super underrated.
Can't believe they kept Tanev and Lowry and let Armia go, just a poop (frank)in decision that was. |

At least Chevy should have waited to ensure that Stastny signed a contract before making a terrible decision. |

Add up what was traded for Stastny and what was traded in the Mason trade, it's pretty crazy actually, that's an awful lot of assets gone for a few months of Stastny. |

It's almost as bad as the Hayes deal. We essentially traded away Jacob Trouba and Brendan Lemieux for a few months of Hayes and Pionk. And, this poop about us getting Heinola in that deal is fabricated. We are lucky that we got our own first back. |

And how many GM’s take him over Brady Tkachuk and Quinn Hughes today? |

Tkachuk is okay but Hughes is a special talent, he really should've went higher in the draft I agree.
I just see the Jets with some decent and promising defense prospects and almost zero center prospects and actually getting thin on wing prospects, I think they'd be better off drafting for need, just my opinion though. |

It's the same thing during the Erik Karlsson draft. If it were not for the foot issues, he would still be arguably a top 5 player in the league. When he was healthy, I would taken him over both Crosby and Ovechkin.

The bottom 6 this year actually fared better than the top 6. Eakin strangled the 2nd line, and our top line has been in the red for 2 straight years.
Copp, Lowry, Roslovic, Harkins, Appleton, and Perreault all did a solid job in their roles on the whole |
