I'm a fan of steak au poivre, so that's my exception. I'll grab A1 or Heinz 57 if I got stuck with a poop piece of meat. - Rinosaur
I like Heinz 57 better than A1...but only use that sh!t on burgers sometimes or to dip fries in once every blue moon.

That's my preference, too. Great on burgers or crap pieces of meat lol.

I just ordered the wireless digital thermometer you can leave in the meat while it cooks. It links to an app lets you know when you've hit temp. - Rinosaur
Yeah I gotta get a thermometer for my grill I just got. |

Lol absolutely. I think someone would want Hornqvist right now but with his NTC he’s not going anywhere. |

I think they will pull a Fleury with Hornqvist for the expansion draft. JJ? Pretty much. - Rinosaur
I like Horny but his contract is too rich right now. I could live with him earning $4M. |

Maybe Horny is greatful for getting this kind of contract from Ruth and waives his NTC. We can only dream. |

Yeah, would be nice if it was $1M or so lower but he is a great player and plenty of teams would be lining up to get him.

In terms of expansion, the Pens have some deep thinking to do. I think they have to go the 7-3 route which means Petterson is gone (assuming they protect Dumo).
If they upgrade on D (which they should) you are likely looking at Dumo being gone. |

Apparently Marino is exempt which is a good thing. Pettersson would be protected this way. |

Nah. Marino is exempt.
All players who have accrued two or less professional seasons at the end of the 2020-21 season, as well as all unsigned draft choices appearing on the teams reserve list, will be exempt from the upcoming expansion draft.

They don't have a lot to spend unless they find someone to take Hornqvist,Johnson or McCann. Eakins would be affordable for what he brings. Who do you think they should bring in?

Thanks for clarifying. I thought it was less than 2 years or 80 games that was the requirement. Great news, still means Petterson is gone unless they pay to have Seattle take someone else. |

Kind of but mostly I am just stupid. In my head Krug is playing for the Pens this year apparently.

I keep thinking about what GMJR could possibly, realistically do in free agency.
Barring a major shake-up or dumping more cap, theres not that much we can do. I dont see any 3C options in free agency. I forget who mentioned it before but I liked their idea of letting McCann be the 3C and upgrade his wings.
On defense, I heard Yohe throw out Chris Tanev's name. Not a rumor, just him guessing. All we really need is a 3rd pair RHD and I see the logic behind it as Brandon's brother...but he's really not that good and will make too much money. I'd much rather look at someone like Montour (who is rumored to be available) but even he could be out of our price range. Gudas is a possibility.
Of those two D-men, we all know Sully would prefer Tanev. |

There is straight up no point in investing in a 3RD. That 3RD is just going to be paired with Johnson and the pairing will suck regardless. Just throwing money down the Jack Johnson pit.
