I'm not defending what was said on Twitter.. Mackinnon is better than Nylander.. Nylander had 60+ point seasons in his first 2 years, and Mackinnon had 38 points in his second season. Also, I don't see him ever being better than Mackinnon...
I think Nate has hall of fame potential. - PatC80
I don't think they should have ever been in the same conversation.
Comparing what nylander did at 20 vs. Mack at 18/19 is an apples vs. oranges comparison to me. |

Isn't Bracco dead???
Also, back reading these threads to catch up with JFJ back in here is sooo fu3king painful. Every fu3king response from douche dark donnie is snappy, condescending and negative. #MrKnowItAll - underhill14

Ok, just McCann and a pick if some kind. We need to find $ |

Nic Petan could put up those numbers playing with them.
And Nick Robertson will. Pay <$1mil for a LW, or $6.9mil.. hmm tough one 🤔
Either way, they need to clear space to bring in a top 4 RHD, and they’re not moving Marner. - Arctic_AARDVARK
This is a patently absurd statement. |

Willy had 13 points in 22 games as a 19 year old. Which is not that bad.

to be fair, he didn't say in one season..
I'm sure if Petan played with Matthews for 4 seasons, he could get 60 points total over that 4 year stretch |

If I am not mistaken, it was about how Nylander's first 3 years in the league where better than Mackinnon's in terms of point production.. No one can, or will say that now.. Mackinnon is the 2nd best player in the league. - PatC80
Yeah, but Nylander is now the best player in the league, so what the frank is your point? |

To be completely honest,,
I think Petan could easily put up 50 pts playing with a C like AM or JT. |

According to James Mirtle, the Leafs may or may not be interested in Colton Parayko. Groundbreaking stuff, right?

The demand for Leafs news and rumours far exceeds the supply - The result is we get pointless articles and speculation. (That I eat right up)

it's almost comical at this point.. Just randomly pull the name of a good NHL player and add "Leafs may have interest in...." as the title of the article.
Boom... Clicks. |

Leafs will lose Freddy in free agency. If they don't have a plan to address it before April, Leafs will be boned in 2021-2022.
Also, as much as the Leafs maybe don't give up high quality scoring chances constantly, the opposing team doesn't get punished for doing pirouettes in front of Andersen. That's the thing that needs to change, without taking away their ability to break out and move the puck.
Also, gotta give Kweefe a chance, he has half a season under his belt.

I'd say that right there is giving up a scoring chance |

Speaking of offseason doldrums, read his latest article redoing leaf drafts from 2005-2017.
Talk about barfing in your (frank)ing mouth.
2011 for example, what we drafted VS what we could have had at those picks?
Round, pick
Original
New
1, 22
Tyler Biggs
Rickard Rakell
1, 25
Stuart Percy
Phillip Danault
3, 86
Josh Leivo
Johnny Gaudreau
4, 100
Tom Nilsson
Tobias Rieder
5, 130
Tony Cameranesi
Andrew Shaw
6, 152
David Broll
Josh Manson
6, 173
Dennis Robertson
Dylan DeMelo
7, 190
Garret Sparks
Ryan Dzingel
7, 203
Max Everson
Ondrej Palat
It's like that every single year. I think the best year they had, 3 of the picks weren't redo's.
Why the (frank) do we cheer for this team... |

You left out the part where we traded the picks that Anaheim used for Rakell and Gibson to move up a few spots and get Biggs. |
