Spezza for 700K was a fantastic signing. Leafs can't sign every veteran. The numbers have to work. - RogerRoeper
Depending on the price I’d definitely sign Perry. Everyone’s whining that we’re soft and he’s a mean (frank) and he can still contribute. |

Cool. All progress is great. I’m not sure how we get from this point through three stages of human testing by the start of the new year. Others may know more.
I haven’t heard anything credible suggesting that those vaccines in the third stage of testing now will be ready for some kind of limited use before the new year. Polling suggests lots of people are sceptical about taking a vaccine if they think there’s been political pressure involved in the approvals.
I’d be surprised to see full arenas at the start or middle of next year. - Canada Cup
that's a complete appropriate approach to these new vaccines, and political pressure to push any covid-vaccine is potentially endagering vaccine acceptance in general. a very bad development, and high-risk strategy.
my decision framework for me and my family: vaccines that would be safe(st) to receive (and assuming some form of protection against at least severe disease), and that look promising atm are:
1/ BCG vaccine (have to look at BCG strain though) -- from Q2 2021 onwards
2/ any other existing vaccine that would show to elicit non-specific immunity -- from Q2/Q3 onwards
3/ any other vaccine that will come 'out of the blue' (not mentioned now as any of the 'front-runners') that will show good results end 2021 -- from Q1 2022 onwards
...
...
...
4/ Sputnik V - Gam-COVID-Vac -- from Q3 2021 onwards
5/ Curevac mRNA Covid-vaccine -- from Q3 2021 onwards
6/ J&J ad26.cov2.s -- from Q3 2021 onwards
7/ other current frontrunners (e.g. GSK/Sanofi; Moderna; Sinovac; Cansino, Clover, Merck, Inovio, Pfizer) -- from Q3 2021 onwards
in other words; very unlikely we'll be able to roll out a reliable vaccine that would be protect and safe before Sept 2021. |

This may sound incredibly selfish, but I wish the scientific community would quit focusing on a COVID-19 vaccine, and instead dedicate their efforts to finding a cure for Muzzin's life-ending injury. - Atomic Wedgie
That is selfish, but it is a need.. We need to bring Muzzin back to life |

K, some of my predictions were slightly off, but they are the funniest.
Also I actually underestimated Nylander. I said 30 goals in a full season. - Zezel
you said Conn Smythe for Nylander as well... |

A few days after the Stanley Cup is awarded, I'll do a new thread where everyone can evaluate their picks.
Anyone know if I can get this on the main page? - Atomic Wedgie
Maybe not a good idea.. I feel as though, I will get ridiculed constantly because I assumed Hutch would be average |

Take him off JT/AM’s wing and he’d be lucky to pot 15. |

Dermott is younger and cheaper but he's not better than Holl on the right side.
With so many other prospects, Dermott is expendable. - JohnFergusonJr
Younger, yes. Cheaper? Probably not - RFA. His elc is over. |

I fail to see your point..
If you take him off one of the top 2 lines, he'd be on the 3rd line. How many 3rd line wingers get 30 goals?
Play him with Kerfoot and hope for the best? |

He get’s paid the type of money where he should be driving a line, but he can’t.
He can’t really do anything other than go to the net and get sloppy goals. Which I’ll admit, he’s become pretty good at. |

Keep him on the wing and he scores 30-40. So with him rightfully playing with AM34/Snake: winning! - mjones242
Nic Petan could put up those numbers playing with them.
And Nick Robertson will. Pay <$1mil for a LW, or $6.9mil.. hmm tough one 🤔
Either way, they need to clear space to bring in a top 4 RHD, and they’re not moving Marner. |
