Can neither confirm nor deny ...

I had heard it was 5 x 8.5'ish being offered last week and that little to no movement had been made in weeks.

Then a Blues poster was hear the other day and said the local writers were saying 8 x 7.5 was being offered.

I think the most relevant info that's being reported is that he wants to stay in Mizzou. Blues have the room with one buy out (Steen).

Yeah I can't find what I had read that said 8 x 8.25 was the offer. He's got it good in St Louis, can't see him leaving anyways.

Although I did find references to it in other articles from poop rumour sites...

Pierre Mcguire claims teams might fold if this goes on and are in horrible shape. Good! It makes things easier for the Leafs.

He also said that the analytics guys intimidate you if you don't agree with them.

Muzzin has a NMC, so we have to protect him in the expansion draft.

NTC starting next summer. Not sure which applies at the time of the expansion draft?

He's safe, analytics is just a fading fad anyway.

How many ever they can squeeze into a January - June regular season.

Sports have been doing pretty good globally even with numbers rising. Bundesliga going back to fans in the stands soon. Masks ...no drinking ..space them out.

Where there's money to be made/saved they'll do it.

- The Law

I have it on iron-clad authority that the 2020-21 NHL season has to be over by the time the Olympics start - this is a non-negotiable demand by NBC. That's the third week in July.

Would they entertain a two-week break during the Olympics? I don't know. Maybe the regular season ends Thursday, July 22nd (probably a few days earlier) and the playoffs start August 9th?

Like everything else these days, we are searching for answers that simply aren't there yet. Big conference call yesterday on when we might return to offices - I completely ignored it. I'm not going to bother to discuss what our world may look like in November and December - we have no idea.

Exactly.

My fear is 4-4.25 million x2 gets you two Ceci's.

No (frank)ing thanks.

I think there are a lot of options between someone we might not be able to afford and someone we don't want. (Last time I said that I was in Vegas)

I noticed Pierre toned-down his attacks on analytics while interview with the Coyotees. Since they rejected him, he's back on it.

According to the Googles, it was originally supposed to be in June, so in theory the 2020-21 NMC should still be in effect.

But hey, you are the lawyer.

this is incorrect.

Marincin will sign a deal with the Redwings and act as a steadying presence on the blueline for the team while their younger players are given time to develop in the AHL.

he will fit right in since the team is AHL caliber right now.

I think you're the first person to suggest this.

It's actually a pretty interesting idea.

Thanks old feller.

I knew the homers would hate it. But anyone looking to actually improve the current team and fill holes needs to be open minded. This is the best window of opportunity I remember for the Leafs since the early 90’s. Do whatever is necessary.

It's classic fan behavior (of any team in any sport): we only want to trade crap for diamonds.

I think largely an overreaction to the fact that the Leafs so consistently trade diamonds for crap

No, it says the M-NTC starts in 2023. Above it shows a NMC for 20/21 and then a NTC beginning next summer.
