You are the one fabricating here. The points are there to look up, and he really is only going to get better, he's only 24 years old and has scored 221 points. He would score points if he played on the fourth line. Then you could make up a new excuse based on dislike of the player that he plays against easy opponents. - winsix

First of all, I am not against trading Willie. I'm against the idea that he's worthless, It's a silly angle because he isn't.
Why would they trade Willie to make room for Robertson... When they play opposite wings and the need is on Tavares' left side? Going to trade one of the teams highest scorers to fill his spot with a player who is needed elsewhere and assume that rookie will definitely score 20? Create a hole to heap that pressure on a teenager with 4 nhl games... And expect him to do it on his off wing?

He’s an NHL caliber player, sure. But would you honestly pay him $7mil if you could go back and negotiate? He held out for that. He was supposed to be able to play C, but he can’t. Look at his stats when he’s not playing with either JT/AM, they’re bruuuutal. Can’t be trusted to be on the ice on defensive draws, absolutely can’t kill penalties either. Why are they paying him $7mil? Dubas got ruse’d. His hockey iq is nominal at best, coaches always have to pull him aside and give him a kick in the ass. Avoids contact at all costs, won’t block shots.. that’s not how you win playoffs games.

Dubas not getting votes kinda makes sense this past season. Didn't do much of anything to warrant it. But neither did Lou. If fact, he made some bad moves and signings.
