No ones gonna take him because he’s barely an NHL quality player anymore. Even if you need to get to the salary cap floor you still need players that can actually play the game at an NHL level.

Guerin is trying to change the culture in Minny and get younger in the process, good on him.

He's fully competent as a bottom 6 forward imo, just don't expect him to score, he's fine defensively.

I like what they are doing . It is going to take a long time though with Parise Sutter Zuccarello . They do have three or four good young guys but no good goal tending and age is against them.

If you can get a younger, faster, replacement level player to be just as effective, for league minimum, why would you take him on....you wouldn’t.

I think Benning has to withhold 50 % if he is going to go so the other team pays 1 mil only for both years combined. What a contract . Sedin's one more year crowd are the biggest complainers of this contract too. The irony.

Dubnyk was awesome for Minny until last year, at age 33 he really declined, which is an example of why I don’t want Benning to sign a soon to be 31 year old Markstrom to a long term deal.

I am okay if Markstrom walks or stays. Obviously my first choice would be to get a number one goalie with 2 years and 4.5 mil and let Demko develop. I don't trust Markstroms injuries.

the ages are different but you can say the same thing about tofolli and tanev.

the core of this team will entering their prime years in 2 to 3 seasons. i'm hopeful (but not holding my breath) that the contracts signed this offseason won't adversely affect the team's ability to reach its potential.

If he were getting paid 1mil I would take him over Beagle or Sutter is all I'm saying.

I will be honest I don't give a sh1t if they do nothing at all with him. I say concentrate on the things that matter. Find that top 4 RHD , find your 3 C and move two out of the bottom 6.

Usually this time of year training camp is getting started and teams are beginning to get ready. We are not even finished last year yet. The borders are closed and who knows when or if a next season will start.

I do think there will be a change in divisions until Covid is taken care of. I think it will be a short season next year with again another Bubble Playoffs.

I know GMs can not build using that strategy so let Loui sit and rot and build the rest of the team without his numbers.

I like two names . I would offer TBL another high pick and package for Cernak and Cerelli

I also like Severson

I don't think Ekblad will be moved and I have seen some of the high offers that they turned down for Ekblad in the past (Nylander)

Hi!

New blog is up, with Boeser on not expecting to be traded, how Dallas offers hope that playoff progression is possible, and how Ottawa still looks like the best fit for Loui Eriksson's contract...
