Interesting idea but I'd probably say no. A 14th overall pick in this deep draft is quite valuable. Not to mention I'm probably the few who still think Pulj may be a part of our middle 6 in the long run. Gustafsson doesn't seem liek he is doing too well in the AHL either. Cap dump of Russell is enticing tho.

Nope and nope. I think Stalock would get sewered behind a non-stingy team and Hartman doesn't really do anything well enough to warrant acquiring... unless your aim is to piss of the Canucks and Elias Pettersson. |

Probably, yeah. In case I get bogged down in exams and essays, if the Oilers draft Tristen Robins at any point, it'll be a win of a draft. He's my top 2nd/3rd round steal candidate. Jarvis at 14 if available. |

With all the talk of an OEL to EDM trade, I want to take the chance to discuss a deal here that I don't think I've raised before: Russell for Goligoski.
Arizona saves 2.5mil in dollars while only dropping 1.475mil in cap and gets a capable bottom pairing guy for next year.
Edmonton gets a top-4 fill-in for next year that opens the door for them to trade one of Klefbom or Nurse to fill other roster needs AND allows them to shelter Jones until he shows he's ready next year (if he does) without a huge drop-off in top-4 ability AND allows them to protect him in the expansion draft.
