why did the habs trade for and sign Edmundson for 14 scmil?
he seems pretty average-bad

since its the habs, thats good tho

- senstroll

3.5M ain't that much for a proven, reliable guy like Edmundson.

Guy was playing 23min a game last playoffs for Carolina and didn't look out of place.

Also gives the Habs a pretty big defense with 4 guys all over 6"2 and over 200 pounds.

Really reminds me of how Chiarot was perceived a year ago and he turned out great.

He is bad, MB trying to overprice free agent dmen to screw the Leafs, thats his true goal, not making the HABS better

If everybody did that, Leafs would win.

Every year I used to quit smoking after my kid’s hockey season ended and start again during the next year’s tryouts. Just hanging outside the rink waiting with other smoking dads was enough. I’d start off bumming smokes, telling myself it was just for a while until we got a few week into the season and I’d buy my first pack.

Eight years without smoking now but I still miss the connection to my kid’s hockey (not the cigarettes).

How old is your kid?

By the end of the night I was weak and could help myself responding to these bumholes. During the day, agree but will try to be strong.

I think you are being a bit optimistic. If he was that good, the Canes would have brought him back. Ask Canes/Blues fans about him, I dont think they were all that happy with him.

"President" Trump yesterday:. "I think there's a lot of problems with masks"

Have at, UGGY and drex. Defend your bunkerfemale dog on his view on masks. Leadership at its best, isn't it.

- fifty__missions

Trump is playing to his fanbase who are largely defiant about masks. Which is completely, utterly, (frank)ed. Playing with lives to secure an election? JFC.

But hey, across the pond, there are (frank)tards like Noel Gallagher and Ian Brown who are also openly questioning and defiantly rejecting mask usage.

I'm tempted to record a video singing "Wonderwall" and "Waterfall" with a mask on. Just to (frank) with them.

I'm not saying we signed Torey Krug or some other great defenseman.

But he's still an overall reliable defenseman. If all goes according to plan, he'll be the stop gap until Romanov can be inserted in the top 4 and then slide back to the third pair with a Juulsen or Fleury.

3.5M sounds about right for him if you ask me.

Edmundson signed for a modest 400K raise. Seems more than reasonable.

Smart for him to sign as quickly as possible before the market starts to seize up.

I just feel Marner is such a singular talent that even if you get what at the time is a good return for him, he will go on to make you continually eat poop over the course of his brilliant Hall of Fame career. People will be like, remember that the Leafs actually drafted Marner originally and gave him up for what turned out to be a bunch of whatever? And having traded Marner will be the new definition of Leafiness. This is my concern dudes.

It's a good signing.. I don't really see it as an overpay. Big dude, that's only 27..
Too bad he is not a right shot defenseman..

For what it's worth Zezel old pal.

I think you're right.

Trading Marner would be a mistake. You'll be watching that Ontario kid score 95 points elsewhere and damn the day you traded him for 3 average dudes and a pick.
