we also heard with covid-19 new player contracts will be less.
So far not the case going by the 2 recent signings.
I agree they have some less than diserable contracts for sure.

Holl has a modified NTC. 10 team list.

He shouldn't have that, but it is not nearly as restrictive as a NMC.

They were a top 4 team during the playoffs. They may have missed them alltogether if not for the shutdown. They had lost 7 in a row at that point.

Islanders have so many core player about to pass their primes with long-term deals. Will Eberle, Nelson, Lee, Pageau get better?

And yes, there is a need for more cap space than the Leafs. Isles have 3 RFAs who's cap hits are about to skyrocket, including Barzal. Are you not taking that into consideration?

They both only have M-NTC, not a NMC. There is actually a big difference for expansion and trade purposes. With that being said I completely agree, they both shouldnt have even got that.
