So Toronto is going to go back to COVID restrictions of 10 indoors, 25 outdoors.

I'm guessing this is going to halt my daughters' hockey.

If they are really strict about it, you've got 1 arena operator, and you need at least two coaches (2 deep rule) which means I can run a practice with 7 kids. It's not worth the ice rental at that point.

Edit: restrictions are for social gatherings - do not apply to businesses.

Carry on. Nothing to see here.

My daughter is doing on-line learning this year.. Today, we found out that there is a case at her school.. So, she is staying home longer...

the "joke" on our street is that we should enjoy the kids being in school while it lasts - because they will all be home by Thanksgiving.

How is hiring an Asst Coach big news? It’s trending on Twitter....this would be the proof that Lead nation gets an amazing amount of attention for a team going through a 53 year drought

It’s an Asst Coach move on

Not sure if you took a wrong turn on the way to your remedial grade three reading class but this is a Leafs blog

So if the Leafs pay Arizona's debts to ASM Global, can they give us Kuemper for free?
- mjones242

I just got an email from them introducing the new GM, business as usual in Arizona. 🤣

You’re thinking small. Secretly buy the team and make “hockey” trades.

I think the likely scenario is the resurgence of the cash for player transaction

Fingers crossed for you, Aethsie.

If my mom gets it, she won't last 24 hours.

yeah I thought about her situation when I was posting here. We had discussed it before.

My dad is a victim of his own stubborness, stupidity, and the environment he is in. When no one around you is willing to take precautions, it is doubly difficult for you to do so.

We have a close friend who has only left her house to go to her parents house. One of the things that is really upsetting her is that the rest of the people in our circle of friends has more or less got on with their lives. She is frustrated with us and also feels like she is the only one who is this scared.

My GF and I rarely do anything social and still haven't been out to a restaurant since March. We occasionally hang out with people outdoors or with my parents indoors but at a safe distance. We go out for groceries and to stores if we need to, and otherwise stay in.

Our only lapse was during a weekend at a cottage where a baby was being passed around.

Otherwise, we just see it as our duty to make sure that if there's vectors for transmission, it's not because of us, and particularly because my parents are elderly and we have a couple immunocompromised friends, we're making certain that we aren't endagering them. Doing it from a place of duty rather than fear makes it a whole lot easier. And yes, we do believe that people who are regularly interacting with others at close proximity are selfish.

Hadn’t seen my son from January till June (he was in Kingston). Since moving back his visits are eating outside at a distance and he wears a mask inside - his rules. Most of his friends are very careful.

If we took back Phil, could we then trade him again WITH the $1.2M that we are currently eating?

i was there last week but now I'm believing that masks and good hygiene will keep the kids in school. Add to that the economic realities and I think we wobble our way through the school year. Bend but don't "out" break. *tm

It's all about controlling the mask free socializing right now.

I would trade matthews to Arizona. Then turn around and trade him back to the leafs and have Arizona retain 50 percent of his cap.

Yeah that sounds reasonable.

Winter is going to be very difficult. I won't be seeing many people if we cant be outside.

A few weeks ago, we were up north and I ran into a tiny convenience store to grab some ice cream.

I had forgotten my mask.

Kid looks at me, politely says I need a mask.

I go into full Canadian mode - apologize profusely, run back out to the car, put the mask on and re-enter the store, apologizing profusely. Pay for the ice cream, give him one more apology for good measure.

It's a much better system than trading punches and/or gunshots.

You can't go back in time. It won't work. The 1.2 million will disappear but so will Kessel and all of our memories of him.

Theoretically, this post will disappear also, so as long as you are reading this then it means no one has re-obtained and re-traded Kessel.
