Serious question:
How would that work?
I guess people could be compensated if they generate large percentages of screen shares, but not sure how you'd compensate for personal data.
These media companies are a weird mental exercise for me, because we participate voluntarily.
Hell, should we be compensated for Hockeybuzz? Users provide 99% of the content. - Atomic Wedgie

No, this is apparently a Raptors-related question he (probably? not sure) asked of Masai Ujiri - which some (including a TSN anchor) are suggesting was thinly-veiled racism.

Based on what?
I wrote the post yesterday on this - but depending on their motives and reasoning, you should not write them off directly.
(Disclaimer - I think unnecessary, but you never know? - I am very much pro vaccines of course).
N.B. happy to have a talk on this on here - but there are a few issues with the 'frontrunner' vaccines that are being pushed by several developers and governments (us, Russia amongst others). - MaximusAurelius
Based on ignorance and paranoia. Blanket anti-vax idiocy. Wish they could get polio and tetanus but they can't because of (frank)ing VACCINES |

Only if you didn't read the article.
Let me help.
"No, this upward redistribution of income, wealth, and power wasn’t inevitable; it was a choice—a direct result of the trickle-down policies we chose to implement since 1975.
We chose to cut taxes on billionaires and to deregulate the financial industry."
It then goes on to list a bunch of other things, but my point remains. - Atomic Wedgie
Gotcha.
I mean, it kinda seems like taxes aren't really being mentioned (like I said in my post), but you read the entire 4000 word article to find the single passing reference to tax policy, so I'll give you that point.
Regardless. You are purposefully avoiding my point - which is that income inequality is increasing due to technological increases.
The article also conveniently leaves out the fact that people are better off today than they were in the 70s. Peoples lives (at all income levels) are getting better. They just aren't getting better at the same proportionate rate as they were post WW2.

We onboarded a new person yesterday but FedEx sent their hardware to Massachussets where someone actually signed for it, instead of Washington.
They have no access to any of the stuff they need to do work without so I've literally been inventing work today that can be done without any kind of access. |

When I read the original whistle blower complaint about the forced sterilizations, I felt physically sick. You get to a point where you can’t escape the conclusion that the cruelty is not a bug in the system. |

I don't if it's stupid, so much as sick and twisted deep inside. - Zezel
In my wedding speech, I did a whole bait and switch where I was saying that this day was one of the most exciting in my life because.... "the Leafs have just signed Mike Babcock as coach!".
It get some laughs... it probably wasn't the best idea at the time. It certainly didn't age well. I really, really should have worked on a speech prior to the event instead of just "winging" it while several drinks/pints deep. |

[quote=TheMussel]My GF and I rarely do anything social and still haven't been out to a restaurant since March. We occasionally hang out with people outdoors or with my parents indoors but at a safe distance. We go out for groceries and to stores if we need to, and otherwise stay in.
Our only lapse was during a weekend at a cottage where a baby was being passed around.
Otherwise, we just see it as our duty to make sure that if there's vectors for transmission, it's not because of us, and particularly because my parents are elderly and we have a couple immunocompromised friends, we're making certain that we aren't endagering them. Doing it from a place of duty rather than fear makes it a whole lot easier. And yes, we do believe that people who are regularly interacting with others at close proximity are selfish. - tmlfan17[/quote
This is pretty pathetic!
It's not pathetic at all. It's smart, responsible and caring. |

I think you've missed the original point.
These billionaires are paying far, far less than they would have in the 1960s. That's in part what is causing such large wealth discrepancies in society.
I blame this all on Reagan, who sold the lie of trickle-down economics. It's never worked, and it never will. It just slowly ruins society. - Atomic Wedgie
You live in Canada right? So don't (frank)ing worry about it and worry more about the direction your Country is headed.
