Holl - GreatGigInTheSky
Holl would clear waivers, Dermott we could maybe get a late 1st, or a 2nd. |

he is getting a lot of trade talk.
they were mentioning on the Ottawa radio yesterday...posed the question..would you trade #5 pick for Laine.
the answer should be yes. but at least the radio dude wouldnt. - senstroll
I'm not a Laine fan by any means, but if he's being traded to Ottawa, then it would probably need to be the #3 pick. |

I think IF they can land two rhd then really holl and dermott are both expendable. I think it depends on what is out there and they can do.
Landing even one top two/four rhd I think I would let Dermott go over Holl and run with the kids on third pairing with Marincrap as a press box cast off who never sees the ice. - Roadrunner75
I agree with that. Holl is already there, but it'd push Dermott out, too.
Have Sandin, Liljegren, and Lethonen play on the 5/6 pairing. |

Islanders goaltending in the four series deciding games this year:
SA - SV - SV%
25 - 24 - .960
21 - 21 - 1.000
16 - 16 - 1.000
27 - 26 - .963
TOTAL
89 - 87 - .978
If they got a .905 SV% performance from their goalie in any of those games, how far would they have gone? - The Shrike
But, But it's the quality of shots. That defense made sure there weren't any tough ones. |

I partly agree. I don't think Dermott would get a 1st back, unless some team is stupid desperate.
But I do think other teams would rather have Dermott than Holl. Which is kinda unfortunate. Be great if someone would try hard to trade for Holl. |

Plus two kids that are getting better, an offensive dynamo from the KHL, and hopefully a solid defensive righty in free agency (DeMelo is my first choice).
If Pietrangelo is got, would be arguably the best I've ever seen't the Leafs D. - GreatGigInTheSky
Draft Schneider and Powell, and you’re looking at one of the best D prospect pools in the league.
Sandin
Schneider
Liljegren
Kokkonen
Powell
They could learn from Petro and the Muzz. |

This
The last thing we need is another small dman who can’t clear the front of the net
If he was so good, why has he bounced around multiple teams recently? |

He was a part of the package from the Sharks to get Karlsson. Then he was traded at the Deadline as a rental. |

I suggested that earlier in the last blog to Pat. I like it. - GreatGigInTheSky
I like the idea of getting both.. If the Leafs can afford both.. |

I don't think he's overly great or anything, just solid. Shouldn't cost too much $$$, and is a righty. |

Don't need offensive defensemen. We need reliable defensemen.. That's DeMelo |

I don't know poop about Powell but I'd like Schneider for sure. If possible, trade up and draft Drysdale . I think Guhle would be good, too, just unfortunate that he's a lefty. |

Schneider would be a solid pick. He'll have a long NHL career IMO. |
