Depends on what is done with the cap. If it moves up significantly or stays flat. I am sure Rielly will get a good offer from the Leafs, if he becomes a UFA, Vancouver will be on him like a fat kid on a giant smartie.

Look up Stillman's Net worth, if they are a cap team and no revenue, he could be broke rather quickly. And if Pietrangelo wants a big signing bonus he's probably not in a position to offer it even if he wants to.

Guarantee the Leafs would offer him similar to what they offered the others, where the vast majority is in bonuses.

I think Pietrangelo is being honest when he talks about structure. $8.5 million with lots of up front money will probably get it done. It's all about NPV (Net Present Value) A dollar in 2025 is worth less than a dollar in 2020

I think the bonus rule is collectively bargained so it's safe until the CBA expires at least.
