That's great, but minor compared to ek's other mistakes... I think he got the winner of the draft lottery wrong... Which is hard to do considering they literally tell you who won at the lottery.

Have you not seen when he will report a rumor that is completely contradictory to people like McKenzie and Friedman despite them scooping it? Hockeybuzz is the WWE of sports journalism: it's simply entertainment with no basis in reality.

But anyway, grats to Cale, glad to be wrong on that one. Nice to see Josi win the Norris too.

Congrats to this Makar Kid. I always like when the give the Calder to a rookie, proud moment for the parents for sure, And it sends a message to geterans that maybe they could work a bit harder themselves.

The best part about the voting breakdown is seeing someone vote for Adam Fox

How is that such a cause for laughter?
I will freely admit that he does not deserve the award over Makar or Hughes, but his season was head and shoulders above what is considered a good rookie campaign. If you disagree, then you simply didn't watch him play. Most years, Foxy's play would land the Calder. It's not like the vote went to someone truly undeserving.

You kind of answered your own question. It is laughable because Makar/Hughes were the clear 1/2 choices but somehow someone decided to put Fox ahead of them. Whoever did that clearly never watched Makar/Hughes and probably shouldn't have a vote.

Absolutely nothing against Fox as any other year he would have been a true contender for the Calder. He's going to be a very special player although very different from Makar/Hughes.
