Or Petey was like "Hey, I'm staying in Van and I want to skate, what times are free?" and the org told him the times. I doubt the Canucks are renting out their rink 18 hours a day, every day, and would need to move things around for him.

And I have absolutely no problem with that.

But the NHL needs to tighten the language, because right now, it’s too ambiguous.

That would be a nice signing.
Or if you want to go cheaper vet backup, could look at someone like CamTalbot.

Would rather spend the extra mil and get Holtby if those were the two options. It's more a 1A/1B situation with Demko the first couple years, especially if he falters.

Ya, I think it'd have to be egregious for them do penalize a team. Like, they have all their overseas players back for the summer. And I think the NHL is going to be pretty lenient on those sorts of things with the pandemic right now.

Thanks Carol you ended things on the right note that JB's plan is to deal with his UFA's first. If they all sign then its the RFA's next and if they don't take qualifiers then trades will get triggered.

Sure. Same.
I doubt that Holtby signs for that cheap tho.

Hey Carol, something I think you might have missed in the blog is that Markstrom came 4th in Vezina voting.

With an ongoing pandemic they should probably just ignore it. If a guy wants to skate clearly his team is going to be offer him the safest place.

This might be the most ridiculous hockey related topic ever discussed on these boards...

In fairness it was brought up as a ridiculous rule with little clarity.

Friedman: I think they want to extend Travis, I think they want to extend Ian Clark. I know there’s some rumblings about Clark. And I’m sure the team has asked him. That comes down to him and the team. If Clark wants to stay they’ll find a way to make him stay.

We all agree. World peace has been achieved.

Think we'll see them not sign Tanev then, and make a trade to improve the RHD.

Lol, tough to say get a better coach after he led them into the third round of the playoffs thing. He coached very well in the playoffs, and definitely got more from the team than they were expected to get.

They need to sign Clark though. He's masterful.

Thanks. I did miss that, because the I was only looking at the awards that were voted by the PHWA.

Vezina is voted by the general managers. And while fourth place is nice, I'm not sure we need to hold a parade for seven total points...

...unless you want to argue that he's as good as Merzlikins and Lehner put together?

I've been trimming since Saturday. The cross one bears when having a fenced in, full sun garden.

I like the players on the team this year and think it was a good year . We made steps and I want to see more steps taken . Even though I like Stech and Tanev I want to see them make an upgrade. I would rather take a swing and miss than come back with the same thing when we know we aren't quite there just yet.

No love on the Leafs blog so you figured you'd come here since the "offender" is a Canuck ?
