I said this last night.

They needed to be smart and nip this in the bud, and while I didn't listen to Adams, it sounds like they/he did not do that, and continue to do the wrong things. What a shock.

A later start means less competition with football in the fall, which is on just about every day of the week now, during normal times. Competition with just about every other sport is less daunting.

I don’t think you will find anybody that disagrees with you that you don’t need toughness, however they need to be able to play.

Coleman is tough but has top 6 talent.

Goodrow was tough but was a very strong PK’er that made him attractive to Tampa.

Maroon and Paquette are tough and played their bottom 6 minutes and had positive impacts.

Schenn was terrible but the team around him was able to withstand his one ice impacts.

Bogo was in and out of the lineup and played sparingly down the stretch.

I don't think football season changes at all.

I think hockey and possibly the NBA both shift their starts a little bit later (i.e Thanksgiving or even Christmas). They won't completely eliminate competition with football, just lessen it.

5 years is a LONGGGG time for a 23 year old

You are spot on with football 3/4 days a week.

Once the nfl playoffs start (as scheduled)
They would only be playing on sat/sun ,not monday or Thursday.

He's seen two of his former teammates hoist the cup while his current owner has set a hard cap and his GM pulled off getting a player from a nursing home to come here because they were former teammates, he's gotta be thrilled

They trade for Staal who can, albeit not too well at this point, play 1C for them until Byfield and/or Turcotte are ready 😉

I think it is time to accept the fact that Jack wants out of here if they don't make the playoffs this year. Two people we usually trust Bob Mac and Elliotte Friedman have confirmed it.

Did you read the first words of Bob Mac's? "On the surface" Jack does not want to be traded and the Sabres do not want to trade him. The surface is very thin, narrow. Below is thick, and is the meat of most things. If he didn't want be on the fence about this he would have said Jack and the Sabres want nothing to do with a trade, not "on the surface" and he would not have Tweeted it.

This was said months ago by 89 and Clown, nobody should be very surprised, unless people just didn't believe what they said, old news.
