he would say each part from Montreal is more valuable
CC > Robertson
Domi > AJ
16th > 15th - senstroll

Leafs should offer sheet Sergachev at $6.2 AAV - (frank) Tampa - winsix
I have a feeling Sergachev's number will begin with a seven |

mr mcgag would trade Cofield, Domi and 16th for Laine
the Leafs equivalent might be Robertson, Johnsson and 15th pick....'ish
Seem light for Laine - senstroll
Laine's next contract (next summer) could be a tricky one. If you buy now you better like him long term.
I think Domi's value >> Johnsson's so I'd say the Hab offer is better. But, does the Peg (or anyone else) feel confident about Domi being a top6 centre?
Jets should just pass until they find that Centre or elite young D. |

Imagine Laine had the same fire that OV seems to have? He has the size and the hands but is such a headcase who doesn't seem very motivated. |

It'll depend on the # of years.
Chabot 8 x 8
or
Provorov 5 x 6.75
or
McAvoy/Werenski 3 x 5'ish
Lightning are short on Cap space so I could see them needing/wanting to go short term unless they're prepared to knock a lot of veterans off the books. |

let me find that controller unplugged gif.....
but yeah, OV had all the same poop said about him for 10 years...win a cup...and poof...thats all forgotten |

Nylander + Liljegren + 15th overall to Wpg por Laine.
Laine is a different kind of floater, and is a likeable guy.
He'd become a fan's favorite soon in Toronto |

Top 50 salaried players in the NHL for 2020 will be losing a total 100 million, just this year, to escrow. And will defer another 50 million. That's if things go well and they can play a full schedule in 20'.
No wonder the Breadman is sour. - The Law
At least they have jobs.
I feel for the players in a bubble and the difficulty, I don'f feel for them having jobs right now with a pay cut.

Did people ever question Ovi's fire?
I took what he said as Ovi has incredible fire, always has. If Laine had that he'd be even better than he already is.
At least that's how I took it.
Laine's incredible. But so far, he's not Ovi incredible.
I always understood the Ovi criticism to be that he played a little selfish ...didn't develop a two-way game until later in his career. |

Same story every year. Cup Champs define winning with absolutely zero flaws in their game. Nobody played over their heads in any form.

OV just forgot to play defense for a number of years. Or, couldn't be bothered. |

I just realized tampa and dallas are two teams both from "warmer climates". I hope that does well for the NHL in those types of states. |

I don't think anybody feels sorry for them. And least of all for those guys in the top 50 salaries.
The point was that's a lot of bread being lost. That 150 million would have been higher were it not for the PA getting a new deal done this summer. |

Last thing the Leafs need is another expensive forward. I am guessing they put all their eggs in upgrading D basket. |

Laine plays with Matthews and then flip nylander for money and depth to fill out the bottom 6. |

Escrow is just a holding place. Why do they not get that money back?
Is it tied to league profits? |

If Winnipeg is getting anything remotely close to this they likely jump on it. Cost controlled winger with similar or better production, prospect D + a pick. I doubt any team is offering such for Laine at this time.

I wouldn't call them hotbeds because they won in the past. They are better than their counterparts in warm states but it sure helps seeing them in the finals.
