I think its a bit of a risk. If Samsonov does not have a good season, do you really think Lundqvist is good enough to take over the starting role?
The King is an ideal backup goalie for a team with a starter they have full confidence in but I dont think he is ideal backing up a young goalie with limited NHL experience.
Goalies can be unpredictable. Especially young ones. |
