Anthony, you should not have mentioned that Perfetti can play the wing and that he'll do whatever Maurice wants. This is a recipe for disaster. We need to get rid of Maurice fast! |

Perfetti sounds like a perfect person to play between Ehlers and Laine, but expect Maurice not to give him a chance and play a old, true #4 center in that position because he is good in the room. |

To be fair, Little was actually good in the role for the first time in 3 years before he got nuked in the side of the head.
I want Perfetti in right away if he’s talented enough right now. I don’t care if he’s 157, if he can play, he’s in |

Great pick but the blogger exaggerates on his skating. Not horrible but needs some work. |

We peggers will find our own way to be negative. Don't worry about that.
Congrats to Perfetti. Welcome aboard. |

I would have been equally happy with Rossi. I think you will see Rossi in the Minnesota lineup this year. Perfetti maybe a year ( I had said two earlier) away. I think Perfetti has more upside than Rossi longer term. I really think this amazing luck in getting Perfetti might change any thoughts by Chevy about trading Laine.
I want to thank Dorian ( OTT ) and especially Adams ( Buffalo) for their bad timing on picking Sanderson and Quinn . Dorian did it again later in the evening with Greig ....and what was Columbus thinking drafting Chinakhov in the first round. ?
I think the reason Perfetti and Rossi didn't go as high as they should was 100% to do with size. Where did Gaudreau and Mariner get in the playoffs the last two years? |

Agreed, but luckily two posters, in particular, don't know much about hockey, so just ignore them . Jets draft one of the top prospects in the draft and all they can do is be negative. Go cheer for some other team if you don't like Maurice. No need too be a troll on here.
Its hard to develop guys like Roslovic and maybe Copp at the center when there is no room to do so ( until Little went down) . It's not Maurice's fault, but if anything you might want to blame Chevy for not maybe finding the right trade for them to improve the Jets in other areas. |

I wanted Rossi but am very happy with Perfetti!!
the Columbus pick reminded me when Mike Smith ( Jets GM at the time ) picked Sergie Bautin in the first round and nobody had heard of him |

Agree with negativity part, away too much of it, doesn't matter the subject. Don't mind people disagreeing, but do go and on and on about it, day after day, - no matter the subject - is absurd.
We are drafting 18-year-olds. You are going to miss on some of them, even if you're acclaimed the best GM of all-time. And all the draftees can't be automatically on the roster, whether it's first or third line minutes. It takes time. Some draftees never make it. It's a fact.
I was very happy with our choice last night, most had Perfetti going from 4-7. He is said to be a year or two away, so we're going to need a veteran to fill in.
Heard a suggestion that Statsny and N. Schmidt might be available from Vegas for prospects/draft picks. H-m-m-m? |

Demelo signed 4 years 3 mil per!!! great deal |

By the way, the official results of our draft poll are in:
Ross - 6 pts
UJ - 5 pts
Jets Nation - 3 pts.
Grahamzky - 1 pt.
I guess we now know who knows hockey, and who doesn't. Or, at the very least, have bragging rights for next year. Moi? Gawd, I'm glad the Rangers too Lafrenniere!
Congrats to our winner! |

Hadn't heard. But I guess at least know what they're getting. Steady, but not flashy RH d-man. Glad to see a UFA choose the Jets!
Can see the Jets re-signing Beaulieu 7th d-man), and possibly even Eakin (at a reduced salary) for short term. But the jury is still out here. |

Great contract for a second pair right side d. Hopefully by the end of his contract he will be on the third pairing. |

I like the deal, some fans on line are saying too much money but common its 3 million!! the guy is worth 2.5 all day so paying 3 is A OK
but I have zero interest in Eakin, also heard rumblings he just isn't fitting in with the team or management. |

I agree about Eakin.
Also I think Jets management learned some valuable lessons from the Chiarot and Statsny affairs by offering Demelo 3mill a year and for four years. Wasn't Stastny going to sign in Winnipeg, but Vegas offered him that extra year, and same thing with Chiarot. |
