I mean we definitely already knew this right? Unless you were one of the bumholes that just hates him and blindly refused to believe all the reports about exactly this.

Timing sucked but his kid is considerably more important.

I don't hate him I simply don't believe him and wouldn't want him as a teammate.

That’s not giving a reason

His daughter was well enough 3 days later that he was out golfing

Still smells like BS after only a day after “I hate it here, it’s not playoff hockey and I’m bored”

So why didnt he say that when he abruptly took off? This is the problem with hockey...they say "keep it in the locker room" but when they need something, THEN they tell what happened. Its too late...
Be honest from the beginning. You come off as being deceptive and secretive. But now you want back in the hearts of the people you should have told from the beginning.

Bro he said he had a family emergency and the team said they supported him. What more do you need to know? You’re not entitled to know about his personal life. Get over yourself

He said he had a family emergency. Anything else, to be honest, is none of anyone's goddamn business. You're going through a hard time, you really wanna hold a press scrum and answer a bunch of questions? Or go home and be with the people who matter?

Think about it.

He has no obligations to tell YOU why hes leaving. Its hilarious how self absorbed some of you are. It was widely reported immediately that his daughter was having health issues, but youd have to remove your head from your own ass long enough to hear something that isnt your own bullpoop opinion.

My opinion does not matter but he is a liar. Just don't believe him even a tiny bit.

His timing and comments are pretty damning imo.

Not really important but I think he would have been better off telling the truth or just not saying anything.

I’m sure the bubble was horrific. Being paid millions of dollars. 5 star hotels, gourmet meals whenever you snap your fingers.

I have daughters of my own and don’t fault him for rushing to be with his family. Good on him, but I’ve had enough of the comments. The bubble was horrible, the hockey doesn’t mean anything, no atmosphere, blah blah blah.

The same way anyone knows someone else is lying without proof. You just know.

His comments even in the "reveal" are just so damning imo.

It's pretty much as simple as he didn't want to be there, insulted everything/everyone in the bubble, made up an excuse to leave, and then lies to try to cover up any backlash. All the actions of a self absorbed entitled person, textbook narcissism. It's a plain as the nose on his face, again just my opinion.

I would expect better behavior from my 4 year old daughter. She would have the grace to be more apologetic if she unintentionally insulted someone she didn't even know. Let alone teammates playing for the most prestigious award any hockey player can get. He comes off as sad and pathetic with a backhanded excuse for leaving.

Bruins fans are hard on Tuukka Rask (myself included) because he is the most talented goalie the organization has ever had but has had 2 cups(one of which was very winnable) slip through his fingers. While he is not the sole reason, he is a part of it. His cap hit and pedigree make him polarizing whether you or Rask like it or not.

If the Bruins move on from Rask the window is closed. Period end. There is no ready successor in the organization, there is no "upgrade" in free agency or trade.

Rask is not the Bruins issue.
Defense and Torey Krug is not/was not the Bruins issue.

This team has 1 viable line in the regular season. Then Pastrank no shows in the playoffs so call it a pair.

As usual there is No. Secondary. Scoring.

You have Krejci and pleb poop on both sides of him
Coyle and pleb poop on both sides him.

But yeah, dump Rask, and get bent over for OEL. This (frank)ing team and this dumb (frank)ing fanbase will never...ever learn.

I’m not sure Pasta was a no show in the playoffs. I will agree he has more in him to show. When the playoffs come around it’s easy to shut down 1 line. Just ask Marner and Tavares.

Please Please Please Don, don’t $*%€ up today. We don’t need another Backes, Belesky signing!

He's been very quiet 2-3 years in the post season now after being dominant during the regular season. This isn't and hasn't really been a problem for his line mates Marchand and Bergeron. Its a deficiency on him and a noticeable one at that. So even if he is being shutdown, if your 1st line is shut down you need what then...? What has Don Sweeny never addressed during his tenure?

He is a point/game in his playoff career.
My only beef is they needed more from him against St.Louis.

I am starting to lose faith in Don. I’m not sure he’s the guy to lead this team. This is a big day for him, let’s hope he can address a few things. hahahah hopefully some secondary scoring!!!

I'm resigned to the Bruins leaving the free agency period with pretty much the same roster. Management hasn't shown the ability to actually make the "right" moves to improve so I'm expecting pretty much of the same. I expect that even Krug will be back and the decision will be made to off-load Gryz instead. I hope I'm wrong, but I won't be surprised if I'm not.

Huh... Looked it up. So he is. Perception vs reality on my part. Doesn't change my opinion on this team by much. I agree with about Sweeney. It's not looking great at the moment.

i’m interested to see what Krug does. It would be shocking to see him take like a 7.5 million deal. He’s had so much success and comfortable in Bos and to give that up to earn 1 mil more a season somewhere else.
