Sit around and admire that big shinny Chalice for a few days more and things will start to work out. |

Why not a 3-way with the 2nd team retaining some salary in exchange for a draft pick or prospect? A rebuilding team with cap space obviously.
Something like :
To Tampa : Vitaly Kravtsov
To Detroit : 2nd round pick (Tampa '22), 1.5 million retained on Johnson
To Rangers : Tyler Johnson (3.5 million)
Assuming NYR is on Johnson's list, but I guess it is. Tampa gets a cheap winger to plug it its top 9, Detroit gets draft capital, NYR a reasonably cheap 2nd or 3rd line center. Would make everybody happy. |

I think by retaining half his salary an honest expectation return would be a 5th or 6th rounder. The Term left on his deal is a huge deterrent to any team interested.
Having some decent players not qualified and now looking for cheap 1-2 year deals anywhere also doesn’t help.
But the again Ottawa just gave up a 5th rounder and took all of Gudbranson’s salary, so GM’s never cease to surprise |

Johnson makes a ton of sense for the Jets. Granted he'd even consider going to the peg. |

TJ would be a 2nd line C in Detroit. But that is a lot of term for a 2nd. Better if it were a 2nd and a 5th with a 3rd or a b prospect going back. |

I disagree!!! I have no interest in him for winnipeg!!
I see him as only a winger now, maybe I’m wrong but that’s my opinion and we are laoded on the wings. Plus just way too much money and term left on his deal.
I’d rather the Jets bring back Stastny for one year or give Wennberg a chance on a 1-2 year deal. We only need a short stop gap now till Perfetti is ready to be #2 center |

Except Perfetti is a winger.
But don't worry, there's not a single chance that the Jets are on his 5 teams list. |

Congratulations on Your Stanley Cup Victory!!!
If the Blues lose Petro to free agency I think they should pursue Sergachev and maybe bring Maroon back home. Ha ha. Lots of LocalTalk about Shatty but I for one don’t want him back. |

Why on earth would anyone want that terrible contract? Too many years stinker! Hasn’t had a great year since 2015. Lost a step. Flat cap. - Justbecause
He's still a fine player. Slightly overpaid for what he brings, but he's hardly dead money. |

Johnson stinks and his contract stinks. The contract was bad when they gave it to him and it's just as bad now. They signed him to a dumb contract when Brayden Point was sitting right there. Why give Johnson, a 3C, that much money for that long? Yzerman made two mistakes in my opinion, one is the Johnson contract and one is drafting Drouin.
