Sound like the flames went after anything Edmonton was looking at and paid more than market value to beat Edmonton at it... Easy to do when you don't have any top prospects to sign or qualify and let your whole blue line walk away...you don't walk away from the oilers blue line...holland did great like he did last year getting value contracts with huge upside... pujujarvi,Ennis and turris are solid adds with huge upside potential... |

Hainsey or Greene and Koekkoek alongside a Russell+ for Raanta or Kuemper trade caps off the offseason quite nicely. Move Chiasson's contract and sign Kahun and we're cooking with propane! |

With Edmonton. It's all over Twitter from all the verified guys.

Tyson Barrie turned down more money elsewhere to join the #Oilers, including a $6 million offer. |

Good spot for him to rack up some points and rebuild his value for another run at free agency next year. |

Yup. He can help the Oilers while helping himself. Gives us time to season Bouchard a bit more, give him some games with sheltered minutes. You are right, It’s actually a win-win, despite your passive aggressive cheap shot that didn’t go completely unnoticed. |

While I don't suspect he fills the defensive gaps in our backend, he did perform well in the role Keefe played him in following Babcock's firing. Among Dmen from November 20th onward, he was 1st in 5-on-5 points (21 in 47 games), 2nd in pts/60 (1.18), was 2nd on the team in 5-on-5 ice time (18:05), 1st on the team in relGF% (+7.47), middle of the pack in relxGF% (-0.88), while getting some sheltered minutes (23% against top opposition). |

I'd start by banning the Rumor Chart and replacing it with titty gifs. |

I don’t think anyone’s views views him as a true #1 but he brings something and is an upgrade for sure. |

Says the guy who has probably supported a flucking god awful oilers team that has been the joke of the league ritually for the past decade.
OK Boss!

Yeah, certainly not the "team-building" pickup but he fills a role and helps keep Bouchard out for one extra year. |

The Leafs have been mayyyybe a C-Hair better than the Oilers over the last decade in the weakest division in the league. Also a terrible and embarrassing franchise....but tell us how great they have been some more, please. 👍 |

Never said a word about how good they were. Unlike most of you butt'oles I just came on here to forewarn that when we signed Barrie, it was all sunshine and freaking lollipops but he turned out to be a complete bust. So be forwarned that its probably going to end up in disappointment. It was Mr chirpy over there that started with the team slandering. D*ck.

Oh don't worry, the Leafs have been a pretty good joke to everyone around the league, too, for a LONG time. You know, except for in Toronto - Quillanrocks

Leafs fans historically cry about Trolls but prove incapable of acting right when they venture out. The stereotypes are there for a reason. |

In the last 50 + years? Same as the Leafs. You should know better than to bring up cups. |
