It seems odd that we can't make up rumours about him coming to Toronto. - Atomic Wedgie
I’ll do it if you’d like. Since the Flyer fan runnin the site isn’t conjuring his magic for you, perhaps one of us can sub. |

Stamkos on the move to Canada? Big Smoke makes a big offer. Hyman could be a piece. Sandals for Kerfoot?

Not bad, but it would be good if you could work in a sign and trade, 3-way trade or maybe have Richard Park part of the deal. |

Honestly with his injury history I would think theyvwould have a hard time trading him...not many teams in NHL taking a guy in his 30s on a 8.5 mill cap hit for 4 years and not sure if he will stay healthy plus if they do trade him they will need to eat a good chunk of his salary which defeats the point of trading him in the first! |

When healthy, he's as good as they come. When not healthy, his cap hit is $8.5M and he is only owed $1M in salary this year. Salary + bonus combined is less than cap hit for remainder of the deal, as well. |

30s, sure, but he’s like actually 30. Not like he’s mid 30s or something.
When he’s healthy, he’s a top tier goal scorer.
He may not be at his absolute top of his game, but unless his body totally breaks down, there’s 4-5 more years of really great hockey left in him. Maybe a few more years of decent hockey after that. |

Hot Three Way Action!
Tampa and Toronto to tango? Stamkos to pay heavier taxes. Ceci in Big D? Benn gets to (play with) the Point. e3
Also, Philly turning to Mike Rathje to complete indestructible defensive rotation? e4 |

If Ek ever goes on vacation, you could slide right in and we would never notice the difference. |

It would make sense for the Lightning to approach him to see if he would waive his NMC. Then if he says he is not interested then hopefully the Lightning respect his decision enough to move on to other ways to get cap compliant and sign the RFAs and not circle back to him. He has earned that right.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out for the Lightning before the season starts. |

Nah, I get a kick outta that guy. I’ve given him an eye-roll before, but at this point, I think it’s funny the way he gets under people’s skin.
Almost nobody knows how to fight back, and that I find pretty entertaining.
Besides, he will actually talk hockey to you if you try. |

I love Stammer, one if the few jerseys I have from other teams...but the man is a lemon...too many years...too much money!
Still surprised people thought Detroit would grab Tyler Johnson. Slow, a couple steps. |

He’s done in 2024. At 8.5/year, thats really not a bad deal. If my team could afford it, I’d take him.
But alas, we need to wait a year to make a splash. Maybe 2. |

Crosby n another player , I forget who said, after core surgery it took about 18 months b4 they felt great again. Stammer just had a 2nd core surgery, please take him.
Elliotte Friedman said Bolts asked stammer about being traded. Vegas was interested, would have had to move Patches, Vegas decided to keep the healthier guy. |

Let’s not kid ourselves. Stammer has been the elephant in the corner of the room for some time now.
They would LOVE to dump that contract. |

During his "behind the scenes" article about the Hurricanes draft, Scott Burnside had mentioned Tom Dundon talked to the staff about how he wanted to aggressively pursue Stamkos if he does end up being available. |

I don’t blame Brisebois for understanding all his options. I was surprised that nobody took TJ off waivers but that is 2020. Flat cap better than actual cap revenue values and next season uncertainty. I don’t expect things will be resolved until closer to season start. No one is going to help the Bolts out of their cap situation without getting a great deal. |
