Getting Spicy in here, fun to see how they complete this team over the next month or so. There is still gonna be some bargain shopping here until camp starts and teams have to become Cap complient.

I feel I started all the Kahun talk all over again. But what I said was that Kahun hasn't been signed, and perhaps that drove his price down to sign a team friendlier deal at this point. Which we should really consider doing. He's a good top 9 and that's something that we should still be adding too regardless of Hall or not.
- SDSabre

At this point, would Dominik Kahun want to re-sign here?

Taco- I can appreciate your opinion on girgensons and being overpaid. It's an opinion. I disagree, which is also an opinion.

Girgs was our 5th leading goal scorer, under this very coaching staff. They know better than you or I. I trust their judgment.

My question is :

Can that opinion change ever? Probably not right?

Girgs regresses and score 5 goals, I change my avatar and he clearly undeproduced vs. The contract.

Girgs scores 15 goals any of the 3 seasons.

-you guys - they still overpaid....

What changes this concept? Seriously? What needs to happen for the contact to be fair value or a steal?

- Boss34

He plays with the same defensive acumen that he had last year and scores 10/15 goals per year on the duration of the contract. I'm good with the signing if that happens. Either condition isn't met, or if one condition clearly excels further but the other suffers a tad as a result fine as well. But this would make the contract worth it.

Frolik was at a rink in West Palm last weekend training where I was running a tournament. He had his Sabres gear on. I wanted to puke.

Hopefully in his hockey bag.

Said he was open to it, and currently doesn't have a job while most places are where we are at this point and full up. I think he'd rather have an NHL job then not and clearly hasn't found the big $ he thought might be out there.

Yeah, that was a week ago. Right now on the Sabres he wouldn’t be in our top 3 lines. Probly 4th line duties.

Unless we make a trade. I think we are done signing forwards and just need to sign our RFAs

I’m sure he’s aware it was a calculated business decision. Other GM’s did the same with other good players.

If he’s offered a reasonable contract I doubt he’d care if it’s from Buffalo. They cared enough to trade for him. Gotta mean something.

He's a better player 5v5 then: VO, Tage, and probably Cozens to start. Hot take, I know. But numbers don't lie.

I'd take a 4th line of Kahun-Eakin-Girgens

of course then no room for lazar, okposo and rieder

I agree, and I think he resigns still, but after the Arb. are set.

If we don't get him back, I'm not gonna lose my poop. It was just something to talk about as he's still out there, and that would (theoretically) drive his price down to where we'd be comfortable.

The Sabres need to get them signed before arbitration

You have the worst condescending tone on here. It’s really annoying. You’d be easier to stomach and to disagree with if you lost the B/S crap in your posts.

There’s one thing to disagree it’s another thing to act like you can talk down to everyone you disagree with.

- Stripes77

Come on stripes, you guys cried like we lost danny briere not ka-boo-hoo-hun. Didnt want to listen to reason.

The Sabres played the arbitration game and won.

How about a little credit? They didnt pay ka-boo-hoo-hun 3.5 or 4 million like "other 40 point players".
You suggested

They looked at him and decided his value wasnt there.
Something I %100 agree with.

You guys bring the condescending comments with your laughable takes on the organization.

Homie and the yacht- was a really stupid "angle"
800 posts a day about the ownership and MY team

All wrong , he needs the treatment and deserves every bit of it. Misleading m' fer with his condescending posts.

I let the dahlin at $6 million a year x 8 years slip, because you're having a bad week around here. No need to pile on.
👎😟

They have a few days of arbitration a head of their 3 players. If arbitration starts favoring the players it would be in their nest interest to avoid that whole process.

Thank you , appreciate your opinion.

Just wondering, i thought gus had an outstanding season.

He's gonna be a favorite around here , again. Mark my words. Winning cures the hate.

These UFA low ball deals have to be helping with Sams Arbitration

Maybe. But I believe it was posted that the current economic state of teams and the league is not taken into account in arbitration.

For UFA contracts it clearly has been a factor.

Oh I agree about signing the Arb eligibles, I was just talking about Kahun, think they wait to see how those 3 fall first.

So,the Sabres obviously thought like I did and I have failed to mention this all week. That Sam and Skinner as your top wings will get you nowhere in the NHL. So, what did they do? Even though most of you believed they are top notch wings they went and got Taylor Hall. It's ok, thinking like a pro takes practice and experience, you'll get there.

Yeah I don’t think Kahun ends up back here. But I think as far as the team is concerned getting deals before arbitration can go a long way.

Arbitration is a weird thing for both players and teams.

I like that the 2020 krueger/ Adam's combo has an actual vision. Whether we agree or disagree with their plan.

Tmgm and botts kinda just added pieces.

Botts signing vesey, frolik, Simmonds and all the expensive underperforming players was terrible.

These guys are BUILDING A TEAM.

Again, free to disagree with the moves, but they have a vision beyond just signing guys, because...

I like the truckulance approach
- shout out crags 😉

- Boss34

I agree Boss, that is their vision...hardworking guys who buy in, are professionals of the highest level, who want to be here.
Big, big steps forward!
I can't complain about that at all.
The financial for a couple I do have issues with...just hope it doesn't get in the way of being able to add that one last piece to get them over the top into the playoffs
