Just mention putting locomotive Larry on the top line. That always gets the chair.

Yessir.

Then package that first to unload Okposo to someone, anyone.

- LandlordTom

Okoposo (2mil retain) + Hutton (1.3mil retain) for fluery

Saves Vegas 1.55mil this season and 3 mil the following. Get's sabres out of okoposos contract a year early while obtaining a solid goalie for next 2 seasons.

Is Alec Martinez still a good option for LD? Maybe take him and remove celery retained on okoposo

I would go for a prospect or 2, maybe Hague or Elvenes, doubt they would give up Krebs.

You'd be holding Hutton's 1.3 + Martinez's 4 + Fleury's 7, minus Okposo's 6, comes out to be +6.3M. Sabres have about 13.6 left in space. Add on the overage bonus from last year, gives you about 12.1 left. Take out the 6.3 you just added, now you have 5.8M left. Now you need to sign Reinhart, Olofsson and Ullmark. Reinhart 6.2, Olofsson 3.9, Ullmark 2.2, comes out to 12.3M. You have -6.5M in cap space. Now you need to trade Risto and Miller for picks and prospects.

Nice area, good school system, 20-25 minutes from the Buffalo Airport, Bill's Stadium is very close depending on where in Hamburg you live. Good place to live.

Thanks, good to know. That's kind of what I'm looking for if I go to the area.

I generally liked him as well...but long doses 9ver many many games, he does seem to get a bit irratating.
He added excitement to the broadcast that might wear on established fans, but illuminate parts of the game to less regular fans.

I am ready! Excited to see two quality teams Faceoff. KC's offense scares me though...hopefully Josh can find his guys and keep up the pa e.

Can you talk to the God of Weather...just halt the rain for 3 hours..5:00 to 8:00!

Are Milano, White, Edmund's and Brown all cleared to play?

To each his own

I dont think hes the worst but still annoying. Didnt care for his delivery or the amount of time he spent babbling on while something was happening just to simply announce "a drive and he scores"

Combined with creeper mcguire in between the benches they made sabres games a drag on national TV. I stream games and always choose the canadian feed in the playoffs

And Eddie Olczyk rounding out the trio. I don't care for any of them. Give me Jim Hughson

Let me have a few drinks and a couple bong hits later and I will do a rain dance. The only one that I know for sure is out is Knox, the others are probably game time decisions. I know they all were at the walk through, so that's a good sign.

You know, it's funny. Talking to a number of Canadian fans, both here on this board and elsewhere, they prefer Emrick to Hughson. I think it's a case of familiarity breeding contempt.

His higher-pitched voice could annoy some people, as did his tendency to take liberties with the English language. How do you "spirit" a puck along the boards anyways? I'm pretty sure there is not a verb version of that word in the dictionary but I could be wrong. However, he was always very well-prepared in his broadcasts, and I never found him ever to be too biased towards one team or another.

I wonder who the heir apparent is. My guess is that it's John Forslund. I would prefer it to be Kenny Albert or even Gord Miller.

agreed...he's a hof announcer who's knowledge of the game, it's history and it's players both past and present was impressive...my biggest issue with his play-by-play was overkill...save for these last playoffs (for some reason,) doc was vocalizing every move on the ice, which is great if it was radio...but doing so on television left no room for the game to breathe

Best option is if one can find a place just outside the village(no village taxes) but still Hamburg school district.

I think it's a by-product of his age and probably a reason he's retiring.

Listening to Emrick makes me want to call the suicide hotline.

I honestly think there is a case to be made that the game took longer to pick up in the U.S due to having to listen to him, along with all of the absolutely brutal regional coverages of most U.S. based teams.

Gord Miller is my personal favourite

Taylor Lewan will have an MRI on Monday morning to determine whether he suffered a torn ACL against the Texans, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports
