🙂

You could have had the dallas jumbotron and it wouldnt have gone thru.

Bass hasnt cost us a game .... yet.

Tough spot, being that he was drafted, and is an asset.

Who's better and who's gonna have a minimum salary and future potential?

I think you give the kid a chance still.
That's me.

- Boss34

Oh I agree... after sitting him down and telling him 57% from 30+ yards just isn't going to cut it in the nfl.
Good news, there are 10 games left to see what you got kid.

Sorry guys, but Edmunds is downright atrocious

Would be the best player on the Jets

Be positive

Don't go down the rabbit hole of the Jets

(frank) the Jets couldn't beat anyone in the NFC East if their careers depended on it

Sebastian Janikowski was horrendous his rookie year. Now, he's a hall of famer. Most rookie kickers don't latch on with their original teams for the exact reason Bass is struggling right now. The Bills kept him over Hauschka knowing there would be growing pains. Like it or not, we're just going to have to live with him.

🤔

Tough spot for the Bill's if they need some clutch kicks later on. Cant cut him yet.

Think he's got a "big leg" . More than accuracy?

Just hide under the couch when he lines up to kick?Maybe snuggle with your blond girl friend?
Drink some tea?

He threw one right into Norman’s hands that was dropped.

He overthrew one right over Kelce that was almost picked.

Threw one high to Hardman that went off his fingertips and almost picked

Threw one well behind Kelce on a third down that he made a spectacular catch on.

Mahomes was ok. No where near great or the reason KC won

21-26 with 0 turnovers
Constantly completed passes to keep their drives going
He played well, i didn’t say he was perfect
Allen didn’t play well, and inarguably has a ways to go
He struggled against the zone defense
Mahomes picked ours apart
End of story

A. The "Allen struggles against zone" is just incorrect. The Chiefs blitzed a ton and played man. He missed some throws. Also once again, had drops and 0 run game support

B. Mahomes wasn't "picking us apart". He hit some wide open guys on third downs and scrambled a few times.

He made two great or difficult throws all game. He also made 3-4 really bad passes and is honestly super lucky he wasn't picked off

Most of the times they we’re in man coverage they were flagged for DPI, holding, or illegal contact. No team is going to play zone 100% of the snaps but they did a majority of the time.

Allen wasn't confused where to go against zone coverage.

He missed guys who were in man to man against the blitz because he got happy feet when pressured

Two 50 yard TD drops and a doink off John Brown's helmet. The ball was wet

Speaking of a player who has a way to go
Tyler Bass

From
30- 39 yerds 2 of 4
40 - 49 yrds 2 of 2
50+ yrds 0 of 1

That's 4 of 7 from 30+ yards.
I think that 52 yarder was closer to the sideline than the goal post...it was off the tv screen as soon as his foot hit it. Holy crap...I needed at 12Ft TV to see it, lol.
Seriously, not good enough.

Those 3 points would have looked good in the 4th qtr added to their 16 pts to keep it a 1 score game at the end.

- IonSabres

To be fair, he actually made one of his missed FGs. But I do agree he needs to be better.

It was a comically bad kick but 52 yards in the rain is no sure thing. The other guy missed an extra point

Josh threw a completion that was a interception

Sabres have worst goaltending in the division.
Adams cant make a big signing like Hall and let the goaltending be a barrier to the postseason. Maybe they go into the season and see if the Ullmark/Hutton duo works and then make a move if it doesnt....

Probably have a better idea of how much $ they have after arbitration/ rfa deals for sam and oloffson.

They generally have an " idea" of what guy's cost, this year might be tough to speculate

“57 NHL defensemen have played at least 3,600 minutes over the past 3 seasons

Among them, Rasmus Ristolainen is 56th in xGF% (46.1%) and Brandon Montour is 55th (46.2%). The only defenseman with a worse xGF% in that time frame is Cody Ceci (45.8%)“

Wow, it's almost as if players on poor teams often have poor fancy stats compared to players on good teams.
Not a knock on you or anything but the stats that I look at are team stats. Mostly wins vs losses, power play efficiency, overall possession time, etc. Maybe, just maybe the Sabres forwards are weak in backchecking and playing defense and it drags down all our individual D man stats, for example. Just like our D men have the lowest goals totals for years now...that makes the forward group look like crap when looking at "expected goals for".

I do not like any stat that begins with the word "expected". My wife has a terrible "bjs given per 60 minutes", but that has a lot to do with my awful "expected give a crap about doing what it takes to get a bj per 60 minutes" numbers. That also says nothing about the timeliness, longevity and quality of said bj when it does happen. I'm not penalizing her for low #s cuz I do little to effect a better outcome. Her #s were much higher in her first several years on my team but overall trends like kids in the household and work demands have put a dent in that, but that's expected from a veteran teammate with a lot on her plate.

Sure, but as a team we defended well despite having those two boat anchors.

That’s a testament to the importance of the LOG line to our teams defensive play.

It’s also another reason why some posters are dumbfounded that we let Larsson walk to replace him with a player like Eakin, whom by going by your analogy receives brutal gummers, and letting Larsson go even though his wife gives top 10 brains in the league.

Make sense ?

Here’s an excellent thread on how player usage and quality of teammates is the biggest driver of point totals and not skill or quality of competition
