Because they run the ball well and play great defense šŸ˜‰

Is 5-1 a superbowl stat?

Winners are proven in January not October.

Its Similar to you starting the nhl after the holiday break?

- Boss34

I think the AFC East being as big of a joke as it has the past 15 years also contributes to the Pats super bowl success (no offence)

How many Super Bowls did the Pats win when they did not finish as the #1 seed and had to go on the road in the AFC Championship game ?

They got to coast to the #1 seed every year because they got to play 6 layup games.

Brees has had to deal with Atlanta and Carolina.

Rodgers has had to deal with the Bears and Vikings at times.

I mean Gronk, Hernandez (before his killing spree), Deion Branch, Wes Welker, were all pretty darn good too
- Pegullaville

Brady has played 20 years. Made some of these guys relevant.

Branch 24 tds in parts of 7 seasons with new England

Gronkowski and Hernandez pre and post murders were solid

For sure. If the Bills win this weekend, and the 49'ers beat NE, we basically win the division with a split series with them.

6-3 vs 3-5 is a huge hole to climb with no Brady.

He's the Save-a-lot Grabner

He's not a good PK'er, but once in a blue moon will score a PK goal because of his speed

- sbroads24

I mean our PK canā€™t get much worse, might as well at least score a few.

Very good point. šŸ‘

Although Jordan and lebron have won plenty, jordan has what 6 and lebron 4 or 5? 10 final appearances.

Rodgers 1
Brees 1
Brady 6

Brady has 6 times as many ....

But, your %1,000 correct

- Boss34

Joe Montana has 4
Bradshaw has 4
Aikman has 3
Robert Horry has 7
Tim Duncan has 5
Kareem has 6
Kobe has 5

I agree to some degree, but winners win.

I cant stand tom f Brady, but I haven't seen a better qb in my lifetime.

I actually liked farve and manning too, as well as brees and Rodgers. Takes alot to overcome disliking a guy, but respecting his play on the field.

šŸ‘valid points

I think alot of people consider montana, Kareem and Kobe as all time greats. The winning championships helped mold those opinions.

Maybe I shouldnt have pigeonholed myself into saying that championships are the only judgement of greatest of all time. It is very important though.

Thatā€™s why I put Robert Horry in there.

Career journeyman won 7 tittles with 3 different organizations.

And letā€™s face it Aikman and Bradshaw are in the HOF because of titles. Their individual numbers are and weā€™re terrible and not HOF worthy.

Not true. Teams and players can continue to negotiate until arbitration rules (3 days after hearing)
- Stripes77

Nope.
This changed in the new CBA that was negotiated as part of the Return to Play plan back in July(?)

Negotiations with RFA in Arbitration end when the Arbitration session begins .

You need to have a great team and a lot of luck.

The Pats didnā€™t lose at home, and that was a huge reason they went to many Super Bowls because they got the bye week and home field advantage.

Brady also needed Belichickā€™s defences as well.

Then on top of that the Falcons choking a 25 point lead, the tuck rule game, and the Seahawks not giving the ball to Marshawn Lynch to get one yard also played a huge role in the Pats winning three of those Super Bowls.

Brady is a winner, and is a top 5 QB of all time, however Brees and Rodgers to me did more with less but because they didnā€™t get to play in the AFC East with Bill Belichick they donā€™t get the recognition they deserve.

anytime one suggests olofsson is worth almost the same as reinhart based on 1 partial season for olofsson

it's best to sit this one out

I think Ullmark will be better this year then he was last year, or thatā€™s at least the hope.

I was hoping for an upgrade on Hutton though. I guess there is still time.

Itā€™s not like Vogl had us signing Hall. Letā€™s see what happens after arbitration here

Excellent post taco

I'm looking beyond the numbers on paper.
It's easy to read the scoring leaders and put him wherever he falls.

The eichel factor is real man, it's super real.

I'm forming an opinion based on watching sam play hockey for the past 6 years. It's ok to disagree.

Sam is a part of this team, and just like everyone else, he should be paid for HIS play.

Just hoping the Sabres do not pay him more than his individual worth.

- Boss34

So I love me some Eichel.
In your earlier post you listed his impact on a couple players to include Evander Kane.
Kane's production with the Sabres and with San Jose and Winnipeg show little discernable difference...he actually is better in SJ.

Just saying.

If they can clean up the PK (and I know Ullmark had a hand in that) and the guy could actually come up with a big save here and there, he'd be fine.

I am also still holding out hope for an upgrade. Things change around the league.

maybe Hutton got his eyes fixed? he wasn't always bad, he had solid stretches at the begining of the season, so who knows. i hoped for an upgrade but hopefully Ullmark gets a little better and Hutton is more like the beginning of the season and nothing like the end of the season

I think the difference in our ages may distort a point of view?

At 25 years old, you probably do not remember the 1st 10 years of brady as well?

Comparing the last 10 years may distort the overall legacy? Or maybe it doesn't?

Maybe those other guys didnt make their team "better" as much as brady?

Not sure anyone else would say that rodgers or brees are the greatest outside of those areas? Geater than brady? Maybe I'm wrong? They are both top 5's for sure.

The kind of season that guys sign for 7+?

Eye test.

He was clearly a good player prior, and now after buffalo
