This is fairly telling on where JR feels POJ and Maniscalco are in their development. Hopefully those guys find where to play if the AHL doesn't have a season. - Rinosaur
At least we know there’ll be a spot for POJ on the roster next year if he develops well. Ruhwedel and Ceci have 1 year deals (I think). |

I hate the way Ruth has wasted his precious little cap space. The only good news is these guys will be easy to move if needed. Buried if necessary. |

LOL
Koekkoek is apparently soooo good and sooo willing to play for peanuts that 30 other GMs have just decided to not offer him a contract |

He scored more goals with McCann than he did with Crosby or Malkin this year. And he should be in the PP regardless if he was a 3rd liner. So I reject both your points. - Tojo.
I agree. Horny would have scored more goals than whatever crap plays 3RW this season, too. JR is chasing his tail again. |

So the plan is to have Cody Ceci be the safety net for one of the league's top turnover machines. What could possibly go wrong? - Tojo.
Yup. I was thinking the same thing. We will need to trade for an actual defenseman before the playoffs start. |

Wanted to throw a big thank you to all the people who were discussing the sous vide method of cooking the other day. It piqued my interest. I did a little sleuthing, purchased a machine with a five gallon tub, and have made some kickass tomahawk steaks. Edge to edge medium rare is so delectable! |

Well, I tried to channel JR through my avatar in the hopes that he would do sensible things but it failed miserably. You will all be happy to know that I will be changing it soon. |

We signed a bottom pair defender to a bottom pair contract. I'm fine with Ceci, he and Matheson could actually end up a + bottom pair. But who is on the 3rd line that they are going to break the puck out to?
I'm disappointed because JR has fully bought into quantity over quality. With a condensed season there will be advantages to having depth, but the Pens need someone in the bottom 6 who can put the puck in the net. |

Yup he is finally being paid an appropriate amount. Can jump into the top 4 when needed. Solid depth signing |

Honestly it is a lot of really good uses. I made a pork shoulder in it last week and it turned out amazing. Cooked it for 24 hours. |

People here don’t seem to think he has a spot in the NHL let alone be solid depth sign. |

I'd like to know wtf warranted Ceci getting more than 700/750k. I mean, Rudy had one less point in 15 less games than Ceci last year... And he wasnt paired with Rielly |

This. I guess if Matheson couldn't play the right side we needed a 3RD (I don't consider Ruh a starting defenseman). Not a fan of Ceci, though. Hockey IQ is a real thing. But, the main point is that we really needed to improve 3C/3RW and failed miserably.
There was also the option of doing nothing and letting the ~$2+M cap space accumulate to $8M cap space by the deadline (or end of the season, I can't remember which). Now we're pretty hemmed in with a sketchy lineup. Ugh. |

Horrendous asset management. I can’t understand why ownership has such faith in him. |

POJ is a LD and both of them are RD. The guy currently blocking POJ is Matheson who would not be easy to move if POJ is ready. |

Again this LD/RD BS. Matheson and many other D-men play both sides.
A spot is a spot as long as the other guy is better than the other at D. |

Ceci will over perform, now that he's not expected to be a top 4 guy. |

Sweet! I was going to try a bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin next. Hope it goes as well. Do you use a torch, cat iron, or grill to sear your food? |

I don't know why everyone believes this so strongly. The only person who said that was GMJR, who in that same sound bite said Riikola can play the right side and we already saw that he can't.
Of course this team still thinks Bryan Rust is the same on the left as he is on the right. |

I flip flop between cast iron on the stoke and a charcoal starter sear grate that I have. |
