There is no denying Leafs got bigger and nastier... but they also got a hell'uva lot slower... Enough on adding pylons..
And skating NR on the wing with Jumbo slow is not smart. Have Kerfoot between NR and Wayne. - dozerD10
They still have speed all-over the line up. They got rid of speedy guys this offseason. Which means the Leafs team thats failed the last 3 seasons had so much speed it got them nowhere. Time to add different elements and maybe, just maybe, we get different results. Of the 24 play in teams this summer the Leafs were the 3rd youngest. Speed and youth and has failed us. Let's try something different this time. Or are you going to constantly insist it doesn't matter if you insert a battery on the plus side where the minus is supposed to be and it will work anyways?
From time to time. The man made so many careers with his incredible passing ability. Why not try him in offensive zone starts with Matthews and Nylander. Playing left wing Thornton would have 3 left handed one timers(assuming Brodie is paired with Rielly) and sneaky Willy on the back door. He can stand in front of the net when the cycle goes high and box out rebounds and shuttle the puck to the kids on their off wings. Set up the line up In order to minimize disruption with this move and have soup be the flip for Thornton on the 4th line leaving the 2nd and 3rd to grind out the rest of the game.

Sick of hearing we got worse cause we're.older and slower when for 3 seasons we have been younger and faster than almost every team in the league and haven't won a playoff round.
