Leafs cap reallocation:

*Signed/re-signed Mikheyev, Simmonds, Vesey, Thornton, Spezza and Boyd for ~$450,000 less than they owed Johnsson/Kapanen.

*Signed Brodie, Bogosian and Lehtonen for $300,000 less than they paid Ceci/Barrie last season.

*Gave Dermott a ~$10,000 raise.

I've just seen a few pictures others posted, but Guliani definitely looks like he's up to no good lol. I mean, why was he possibly lying flat out on the bed fiddling with his pants if all he was doing was "tucking in his shirt"? Is it easier to tuck it in like that rather than sitting or just, I dunno, standing up and doing it? If it was actually innocent, it was pretty much the worst way to do things to have caught on tape (supposedly innocent but looks bad, what possible worse way would there have been to do it lol?).

Not to mention being in a hotel room alone with some dudes 15 year old in the first place (even though she's I think 24 in real life, he didn't know that). Knowing he's a public figure in an administration that's full of scandals, why wouldn't you take more precautions to not do anything that could be made to look scandalous?

It just looks really bad lol. Hilarious work by Sacha Baron Cohen and Maria Bakalova though. It's funny, although the possible real world ramifications could be pretty significant for Guliani.

When you look at it all like this, it's been a pretty good offseason by Dubas, especially considering the cap constraints due to the cap not moving.

I honestly think he has improved the team too. We'll see how it actually works when they're on the ice, but despite becoming a bit slower and older, I think the added toughness and hopefully the extra leadership helps the team out. Getting rid of Ceci and Barrie for that matter also makes me happy. If only Marincin had been ejected from our system somehow...
