I still can't believe how there can be a season. The NBA won't lose money with the tv revenues. Not the same with the NHL.

Maybe a few teams will change owners.

it's true that the NHL depends a lot more on actual ticket sales, but not playing at all is simply bad business for the league and the sport in general. you wouldn't want hockey skipping a whole year or more while all other pro sports are playing

yeah I guess that would be the most likely scenario. should be interesting indeed, might see some rivalries develop since teams will be playing each other quite a lot.
