I think we have a keeper with York.

I’m optimistic in York as well. However, I’m seeing a trend here. Outside Myers, who are our long-term RHDs?

We know both Provy and Sanheim play LHD. As far as I can tell, so do both York and Zamula.

Can either of these two adapt? I would assume it would be preferable if it was York, right? Higher upside?

If everything pans out, in a couple of seasons you’d have -

Provy - York/Myers
Sanheim - Myers/York
Zamula - ___________

Sounds good? But then again, we’ve seen what happens when we play this game. Morin, for example. I suppose even Ghost, although he’s a cog at the moment. Such big plans.

Or do people believe someone leaves in a trade?

Cam York is a very smart player. The game just comes to him. Has elite level vision imo

Fiery rookie goalie Ron Hextall stops 23 of 25 shots for his 10th goal of the year...

Foreshadowing Hexy's prowess with the puck, but I assume that should read "10th win".

Regarding the jerseys, I like the orange because that's what I grew up seeing the Flyers wear in their uniforms. But I'm only so-so on the jerseys themselves.

Don’t like the jerseys . To much going on. Would like to see the original brought back.
Wasn’t it always white at home, orange on the road ?

Sanheim is comfortable at RD (played RD next to Provorov in 2018-19, for example). Zamula can play either side.

I wish they went with the jerseys they wore during the Lindros ceremony in warmups a few years back, that joke and away set would be awesome.

Probably just the natural evolution of how it works, specifically when the RD is a coveted position. The Flyers have such a young core at D, they have plenty of time to find another right D in the draft, FA or trade if need be. My guess they have enough to wait to draft and develop. The only way you would not is if that was the missing piece to a cup run or a great deal comes along.

I expected him to come out his sophomore year and really show MTL that he was ready....I didn't see it the first 2 games.

He floated a lot...basically just looking to cherry pick most of the time. While I dont expect much out of him physically, he had several ole moments that I thought were pretty sad because he avoided any contact whatsoever.

He needs to pick it up...

Definitely don’t love the jersey’s, something doesn’t seem right about them but I could get uses to them. Just take those 90’s orange jersey’s and instead of the white shoulders, they put in black. Not much of a difference. I think the 2012 Winter Classics are a lot worse, as well as the mid 2000’s alternates.

I never got all the complaining folks did when we passed on this kid. He’s too small, and save me all the that’s irrelevant nowadays. Small guys that succeed are play makers, not goal scorers. This kid isn’t Johnny Gaudrea. He got leveled at the end of the game on Saturday night I believe.

Thanks, Bill. That’s, true. I forgot about Sanheim over there. I suppose you’d split he and Provy just so that you don’t have too young of a second pairing. At least, for a season or so.

Ofc when Provorov and Sanheim played along side one another they were both quite young, but not every player, even later great ones (and especially defensemen), are ready and mature enough to step right into the NHL during their teens like Provy was. Not a knock on the kids comin up. It just is what it is. That’s rare.

Provy - Myers
York - Sanheim
Zamula/_______ - ________/Zamula

Not Bad. I suppose that blank could be Hagg, Ghost, Gus, or a player we’ve yet to see. Depends on Seattle as much as anything.

If I ignore the white cuffs (which look bad), they look okay. The orange is not bad.

They do have some RHD in the system. Wylie's on the right track. St. Ivany is often overlooked.

Would expect Fletch to keep bringing in veteran RHD depth to help transition the kids, too.

That’s exactly what they look like, knock offs. Bizarro Jerry would have that jersey if he were a Flyers fan.

If I'm not mistaken, Bill has posted that St. Ivany does not project as an NHL player but I could be wrong.

Also, I hope they don't keep trading 2nd and 3rd round picks to bring in vet RH depth.

At some point I expect one of Sanheim, Myers, York, or Zamula to be traded. Would be shocked if they are all on the same blue line with Ivan
