I love my Bills and Sabres as much as the next guy, but if the first few months of Covid-lockdown taught me anything, it was that I didn't miss sports as much as I thought I would and I realized how overblown it all is.
The Roman Empire and it's coliseums are falling... And I fear that future generations may be looking back at the ruins of these buildings much like we do to the relics of the past.
We don't need professional sports. I love them, but we do not need them. - 3rd GM's the charm

Hohoho at the end of the sentence, not the movie
The Xmas party could’ve been a wedding, bday party, retirement party, or whatever
And he could’ve went out there just to see his kids bc he missed them
ALL the Xmas parts of that movie are incidental,
and NOT AT ALL important to the plot
The changes i suggest would result in the same movie
Removing the Xmas parts don’t change anything at all - jdfitz77
Actually you couldn’t change it from Christmas to whatever party.
The basis is its Christmas and the building is mostly empty except for the Christmas party. It being Christmas is a major plot point and it’s mentioned throughout the movie. Hell Die Hard 2 is set on Christmas eve too and is also a huge plot point.
You take the Christmas angle out and the movie changes dramatically.
Christmas Vacation is my fav, aside from the classics. Although not a Christmas movie Planes, Trains & Automobiles is a great 'holiday' flick. A must watch for Thanksgiving week.
