Thing is ullmark was really good last year, when healthy, except when short handed where his numbers were atrocious. Now, was the historically bad PK due to the goaltending, the players killing the penalties or both? Thats the big question that I don’t have the answer too

I agree. I also think asking how much VO actually helped the PP is a very legit question. The goals were pretty, but the PP was better the previous year. Hall brings a lot more to the table. Don't think there's any question there.

I know hope and optimism is rampant, but the posts I shared are very fair regarding the outlook of the Sabres for the upcoming season.

The defense and goaltending are still issues, and while there is time, changes are badly needed if the Sabres want to be a real playoff team.

The defense, especially, needs more than one simple change.
