When there is a vaccine and it’s ready and it works I will be at games providing I don’t get priced out. I can only imagine what tickets are going to cost when Belmont opens. Like you said it’s almost a year since fans were at hockey games. They will have to get there money back somehow. Time will tell.
Only story I am following is the vaccine and getting back to normal life all that interests me at this point. Normal meaning going out without having to worry about spreading this. Going to hockey games bars fishing restaurants church things that we took for granted before this happened
I think that even though historically people returned after a recession, this will be a lot different. This is not a recession per se but a pandemic with a deadly (to a lot of people) virus, that even with a vaccine, still infect people. People will still be hesitant to go to large gatherings with unfamiliar people. The vaccines they are working on are said to be about 94% effective. The flu virus is the same way. People vaccinated with the flu virus can still get the flu even though the degree of sickness may be mitigated by the vaccine. If the same is true with the Covid vaccines then how bad will it be if you get it even after being vaccinated? Could still lay you up for some time even if it doesn't kill you.

So, what I'm hearing you say is that if they work for you, you quash their constitutional amendment rights. - Marwood
That's your takeaway? Read much. I am paying you to do a job. Not to share your political views with our customers. So when the workday starts, you work. When it ends, go ahead and do whatever you want. If you don't want to take this job, then go look for another one. Honestly, this is pretty basic.
Again, think of any business. Suppose you own a McDonalds franchise. When you hire someone to work the drivethru, do you want them to spew political views to each customer? Or how about you just take the food order, smile, and deliver great service. After work, go protest something. I don't care.
Suppose you own an airline. Do you want your flight attendants to finish the safety demonstration, and then take turns grabbing the microphone to tell all the customers about their political views? No. Sit down so we can fly now.
Again, this isn't rocket science. Although some struggle mightily with the concept.
You should mention the Russian vaccine Sputnik 5... It's over 90% effective. Going to be manufactured in India for widespread use in Russia, eastern Europe, Asia and South America.

Most Canadians are not able to understand what goes on in the USA because of the biased news media and limited interactions with actual Americans in the USA.
I've given up supporting sports starting with football 5 years ago. I had hoped hockey would stay out of it but they didn't. - Pelle31
When the NHL for no reason took 2 days off in the middle of the playoffs, I was out tbh. If they issue an apology, then I'll consider coming back to watch.

You no nothing about me. I also never said anything about players wearing a BLM shirt. Go ahead. Wear them. And if the next players wants to wear a MAGA t-shirt that's cool too. And if another guy has a blue flag to support law enforcement that's cool too. So is a rainbow wig. Go ahead guys. But don't take a microphone and preach to me. There is one anthem. Stand for it. If players don't like it, start your own league. - Kooleus
I think it's great that players form their own opinions. But don't express that in the workplace.
If I own a plumbing company, I would assume each of my plumbers has their own political opinions. But when I send you out to someone's home I expect you to work as a plumber, and not make some political statement that your customers don't care about. When the day is over, I don't care what T-shirt you want to wear. I don't care what rally or protests you attend. I don't care about your personal twitter. But when you show up to work tomorrow morning, all the politics stops, you put on our uniform, and you go out and deliver great service to customers. It's not that complicated. - Kooleus
You should play the anthem before work commences right after pledging the oath of allegiance. 😂 Just sayin...
Totally! Keep the flag, anthems, soldiers, military nights etc the fcuk away from the arena. Play the sport and entertain us. - RealityChecker
Agreed. Keep sport sport without the propaganda influence. If not then do it in movie theatres & everywhere else as in kid sports. Seriously though it’s senseless to play any anthem of city vs city when ppl come from many countries races & religions.
Having fans in the stands would be foolish (this soon). All it takes is one game (or a few cases) to ruin it all. Why take that chance at all? Seems the time and resources spent to allow fans to return would be a waste in the end. - arichardson22
This soon? It will be almost a year since initial outbreaks when the season starts. People DO have to start thinking about how the ruined economies will be more detrimental to our futures then Covid ever was.....no?
And yet, fans filled the arenas other times with folks having colds, flu's and other contagious illnesses and never batted an eye. And they can all kill also.

Are you saying all flu’s etc are equal?
Blowing off covid & how much the world has tried to contain it has not been wise? Your post is very callous & naive. Parroting imo
