Heard Jonathan Davis from SiriusXM NHL Network's Two Man Advantage interviewed on TSN radio this morning and according to him he's heard as many as 6 teams have looked to sell, I don't how much of an insider he really is so make of that whatever you want but if there is any truth to that then the league is in bigger trouble then I thought.

That's probably just an overblown 'negativity/sensationalism gets clicks/views' type statement but if there's truth to the rumor about at least two owners not wanting to have a season cause they'll lose less money then who knows, maybe it's true but I doubt it, only two or three teams that I could see having owners that'd want to offload the team and I assume they'd be the same owners who didn't want to have a 2020-21 season.

Anyway just thought I'd share that, really hope they come to an agreement and get back to playing hockey soon!

It’s interesting. We know that teams “in the red” get extra money for the ownership HRR split. I’ve heard both Nashville and San Jose talk about losing money if they don’t get enough playoff games. Ottawa and Florida have had issues due to low gates. In the past, Arizona was one that could have several issues but the new owner has pretty deep pockets. (Though he may want to keep it that way). Carolina owner is fairly cheap at times. I still think teams should explore selling just a piece of the franchise based on the current expansion costs. I.E. - 10 per cent would net better than 70 million. It’s a hard sell right now without games on the horizon. Hoping we can get this figured out without too much damage

I am at hunting camp and I just put HB on my Android phone. I am having trouble finding the private message section. Is there anyone out there that can help me with this? Thanks.

If you find a 30 point buck, just walk it to the Smithsonian!

I was always lucky to have friends who hunted (I don’t. Having ADD and not being a morning person pretty much screws that all up). After all the venison I’ve tried, stews and chili are my favorite. I did have some really good steaks once, they were marinated for a day or so and cooked on a campfire. Too many hunters don’t make sure to get all the “bitterness” out. The ones who do could make you a pot roast to die for man. (There’s an Arby’s near Lansing that sells venison during the season. I’m not brave enough to try it though)

Am seeing/hearing more “discussions” going on, but the only words being leaked are gloom n doom. I’m not sure what’s fluff & what’s real; don’t think anyone knows. But there’s no denying the financials. If things were ok, we’d know by now...but with more & more talk about the CBA being “rigged” (in essence...), I think, as has been said here many times, things could be very tight. NASCAR lost $150-$175m... and they had butts in the seats, advertising, & TV... They thought out-of-the-box; mid-week races, double-headers, knocked off practice runs & qualifying all to save $ for race teams & itself. Point is, again as been said here many times; it’s time to get creative. Nervous about any semblance of a viable, meaningful season.
HH; Where the heck are you hunting??? We used to go up by Mio, Roscommon, Rose City area; hit the swamps & would pull out a couple “swamp bucks” that were massive. Dad has a recipe for a venison dip with sharp cheddar cheese that is literally making my mouth water right now!!! I do a pretty mean tenderloin, marinate w/Lea $ Perrins, onion, smoked organic paprika, shallots.... Them’s is good vittles. Loooove to cook!
Am in Atlanta for my daughter’s Irish dance comp this weekend, then a work-week wrapped around Thanksgiving. Not able to hunt this year because if work (yes, I’m blessed & don’t take it for granted...). Thankful for friends, respect, dignity, folks treating each other by the Golden Rule....it’s still out there ya know; I see it all too often. Americans are good people, in the aggregate. And just like everything else we’ve faced, we’re going to be ok
Be safe everyone. Thank YOU, Jeremy. For this blog, for decency, for respect, for challenging our minds.... You’ve been a respite in troubling times. Keep up the fire!!!

It absolutely is beautiful up there. Used to be great snowmobiling, too. Miss the snow, rather the FUN of snow, not the sloppy slush of spring... was hoping to be up there this year, buuuuut.... Be safe, H.

Thanks McM!
Not much for snow, just love the country and lack of living 30 ft from my neighbor! I can't even see my neighbors!😁
I moved up here 44 yrs ago from Detroit. Never regretted it!
