Bill,

I thought that Primeau was still local in the Philadelphia area and contributing to local organizations. Your last paragraph made me think he had moved.

Thanks for all your reporting, and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

I don't think he lives in Voorhees anymore, though.

Man was he dominant that playoff.. Drove to the net and no one could stop him. He made the Leafs D McCabe look like a pylon.

What was the name of that Habs forward that elbowed Primeau right in the head in 05 and basically ended his career? Perezhoghin? Brutal.

I still see the hit clearly, right at the right circle. POS dirty hit.

Alexander Perezhogin was a pretty cheap player.

If Mark Recchi is not in Flyers Hall of Fame, then we should not have such Hall at all.

OMFG I was furious. As I remember it, he didn't receive a penalty or suspension. When we signed Foppa, I was pumped that we'd have that 1-2-3 punch of Primeau Forsberg and I think Zeus. Not to be.

When the Flyers signed John Vanbiesbrouck wasn’t there another free agent goalie everybody wished the team had signed? For some reason I think it was Ed Belefour.
Bill or anyone else remember. ?

We all thought we were going to sign Curtis Joseph. I read a story and not sure if true but, CUJO thought he was going to the Flyers and actually had a Flyers jersey on when his agent arrived to say he was going to Toronto. I think Clarke preferred to go shorter term with JVB. In retrospect..sigh.

God. Of course we met the leafs first round in 99 playoffs and lost to them in 6 games. Cujo stood on his head. Should have paid him whatever he wanted as it was before the cap. with him you'd think we would have gotten a cup if you look at the 2000 and 2004 squads.

Wasnt Mike Richter also a free agent at the time?

Just so odd a GM who won 2 cups on the strength of goaltending didn't find it that important. That is what he gets for listening to dirty Russians

Gagne is one of my favorite all-time hockey players. IMO, he belongs in the team HOF and should have retired a Flyer.

Cap dumped for Matt Walker after all he had done for the team was bad. Then that whole Dan Cleary fiasco after his 2nd stint was even more disrespectful.

Was so happy to see him get the chance to raise the Cup, even if it wasn't for the Flyers. He had a wonderful career.
