I wouldn't put much stock into this interview. Why would he discuss coming to NY in front of his KHL teammates? Also, many nuances of conversation are typically lost in the translation from Russian to English, so that could be a factor as well...

it's such a weird article, as if to say Kravstov has already been made aware that he's being traded to Pittsburgh but just can't talk about it

they didnt even let Marc Staal know ahead of time he was being traded to Detroit, they called him up and said PACK YER poop

The implication is he knows something that hasn’t been reported. Or it could be. Something lost in translation.

It’s a bit disconcerting that there always seems an issue of one type or another with Kravstov. I disagree with the notion that the coaching staff wasn’t comforting enough for him. Quinn has literally 30 players he has to concern himself with. I feel despite the young age, players should have an understanding that this is the NHL, I have to adjust to it, it doesn’t have adjust to me.

Also, I think the the style of game being played in Europe and to some extent Russia is completely different than the NHL. From the skating surface, to the travel, to actually what’s expected of these guys is overwhelming in some cases.

Lastly, most of the imports have been the elite in terms of their ability, and place on the teams pecking order. All of sudden, the come here and find they’re that this is a game they are not accustomed to.. it takes a maturity beyond their years to figure it out quickly.

Rangers getting Lafreniere changed everything.

Top 6 seems to be locked in for a while - Panarin, Ziggy, Laffy, Strome, Krieder, Kakko
not to mention Buch, Chytil, Gauthier.

Dont see a spot for him in the near future and dont think Quinn is the right coach for him.

I would see if they could get something back for him now - while his prospect value is still high. Sticking out with Kravtsov is OK inlight of them moving up the draft and getting Kakko and Lafreniere.

More importantly, they need to try and get Lundkvist signed.

Pretty much nailed it, & not a bad position to be in either! Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

yeah, I can't argue any of this, Kravstov could very well be trade bait, I just can't see it being a trade with Pittsburgh, makes very little sense

Well, whats Kravtsov worth on the trade market?

Because Im pretty confident that Buch is gonna get dealt at the trade deadline.

I'd be ok with moving Buch to create a spot for Kravstov. A bit of a gamble, but his potential makes it quite palatable, to me.
I actually feel like that is the move that should be made.

I think its the move that has to be done for the future of the team. hes making 3.2m now and hes going to want more when this season is over. Personally, I think giving him 4.5m at the current situation the team is in is a bad financial move for a winger that I feel is piggy backing Zibanejad.

I think at the deadline they trade Buch and move Kreider to the RW on Zib's line.

LAF, Zib, Kreider
Panarin, Strome, Kakko
Lemieux, Chytil, Gauthier

Thats what I think will ultimately happen.

So, Lias Anderson got the rangers a second rd pick - so one would assume the same price for Kravtsov? Although I think Kravtsov is the better prospect

No one will pay a first in my opinion.
Personally, i would try and group a few of these players - i.e. Buch, Kravtsov and maybe a pick to see if they can get their hands on another centre? or higher end winger?

Personally I would like to see for the 2021/22 season

1A and 1B for the top 6

Panarin - Strome - Kakko
Laffy - Ziggy - Kravtsov

Sprinkle in Lemeiux/Gauthier/howden/Chytil/ and other low entry or FA's
